This game probably has the longest prologue of the bunch as there is a lot to unpack, but once you get to chapter one you jump right into the main story.
Yeah. I’ve been wanting to get back to Hunter Sky since Velocity ended, and it just so happens that on the poll the Hunter Sky rewrite got the highest votes. So we’re here now.
The game is fun, the story is interesting, the narration is quite fluid, it’s on the right track. The only bad thing I found was the mission to escort the priestesses. Is there really any way to complete that mission? The lead knight keeps taking health potions even when his hit points are at zero, and my sword always ends up breaking when I manage to kill two knights. I wouldn’t necessarily have a problem with that if I could simply equip another weapon, but when I buy a weapon in this game, the one I had before simply disappears and is replaced by the one I just bought, even if its durability was at maximum. So I can only have one weapon, and if it breaks during that mission, I can’t even try to defend myself with my hands like in other fights. You can only block and dodge endlessly until you get killed.
Hey there! I’m very happy you enjoyed it and thanks very much for he detailed feedback!
I didn’t mean for the battle to be so difficult that you couldn’t pass it. I apologize for that. I went back and increased the weapon durability and lessened the amount of chances that the enemy would use healing potions to make it fair.
I appreciate that; it’s still a difficult fight, but now it’s entirely possible to achieve it if you train your character well and have a good weapon. Keep up the good work; I love stories where you can manage your own group. Several of my favorite books are of this type, and this story reminds me a bit of a certain hosted games story that was also about being the leader of a mercenary group. This story could really become one of the most fun if you keep it up. Just one more thing: I found a bug. I can’t post a screenshot here for some strange reason, but this bug appeared right where the priest gives you that blessed sword, just when I wanted to go to the next page. The error message says:
There seems to be a bug. I can’t go to Gretchzen Pass or talk with Hector. Whenever I try to click these choices, I keep getting these messages: intermission1 line 367: bad label gretchzen and missions line 18: bad label hector.
The start is very promising but I get this error : Uncaught Error: intermission1 line 1709: label ‘enemy_turn’ already defined on line 891 after your mother teaches you about the world when you click A Year Passes…
