Because now Derek are on the team’s side or on his own, no in between. The team can forgive Derek, allow him to betray them from the inside or expel him, allow him to harm them from the outside, which counts as another “betrayal”

Start a new game. Or use a save before Thelma joins you / you wake up from Blair’s KO (cos scene is called hqparty and your save might have been made during it and when update is rolled in, it pushes to the beginning of the scene but all variables stay the same. it seems, in your case, u’ve already danced with Lilith when u’ve saved)

Can we have an option to tell LB when he comes onto us during the party that We don’t swing that Way? I don’t know I just wanted dance with my best friend in the team and suddenly he is trying to kiss me.

I encountered this too and it kinda caught me off guard. I always see LB as my MC’s brother in arms,the kind of guy that my mc would do stupid stuff with and laugh about it later or make fun off the other team members nothing malicious tho.

The game doesn’t really differentiate between platonic and romantic love so those actions you took raised his affection meter, which the game interpreted as him falling for you presumably.

Took him to the city? How the hell did you do that? I usually sit with him and eat one of his burgers also, then I tell him that he has some ice cream on his nose, but it never gets to anything beyond that.

I definitely think some sort of alien invasion is going to happen. The prologue talks about “humanity’s last hope” and shows MC taking down superpowered enemies, certain bits in the story seem to be building up to it as well.
This is the most obvious one. Given the reference to the OG alien invasion novel, I don’t know how to interpret it in any way that isn’t Chronomancer telling us about an imminent extraterrestrial threat.
Then there are also the foreboding dreams implying the Omega Responders are still in space fighting a force coming to Earth.
For your specific idea, I don’t know how the logistics of “aliens” being our alternate universe selves would work, but it might still be possible through some space-time fuckery.
You’re talking about the conversation in the ports scene where Thaumaturge said to Chronomancer that “We have a world to save, and another to destroy," right? I get the sense he might be talking about the consequences of Chronomancer’s time travel wiping out a reality to allow another one to exist in the process.

I find it funny that when theoretical physicists discovered that the mysterious event in space (the one where our masters stopped) was moving faster than light, they went crazy, but the fact that ALL the heroes, without exception, broke a bunch of laws of physics they basically ignore

This took me a while to find but I managed to raise Derek’s relationship to 80 by the time of the party. I was playing an Enhanced Senses MC so this affected how I beat Propaganda. Time Manipulation MC and MCs with Supermentor also have more opportunities to increase their relationship with Derek when talking at the mentor’s base. You’ll need high Presence for this.

Make sure Propaganda flees from the concert. After finding him in Union Square, have Sharpie distract Derek while you talk to Flit and LB. Tell them you should go with Derek. Alternatively, you can kill Propaganda but make sure to hand Rattlebag over to the police

After fighting Thaumaturge, ask Derek what happened to Thaumaturge then tell him that PARENTS were useless.

If you killed Propaganda but handed Rattlebag over to the police and your relationship with PARENTS is either neutral or bad, Derek will ask you why you killed Propaganda. Tell him you did it because Propaganda was out of control. Derek will then confess to killing Rattlebag. Say either “It was a terrible thing, but it needed to be done.” or “I envy you. I’ve been having nightmares about Propaganda.” (the second one has a slightly higher boost to the relationship)

If you killed Rattlebag tell Derek it was an accident. If you wrote “Alias was here” when you killed him, tell Derek you didn’t kill him and only wrote that to protect Ghostling.

Refuse to work for PARENTS. When the choice to recruit Derek comes, choose “I convince the others that we should give him a vote of confidence.” (You will need at least 3 Presence for this) (This has a big boost so make sure to do this)

At the mentor’s base, ask Derek if he wants to see something cool. If your powers are Time Manipulation tell Derek “You are right. We will never venture into the stars if we do not first solve our most basic problems.”, “Then we should enter politics. Be democratically elected by the people, and change the system from within.”, or if you have at least 5 Presence “You are wrong. Regardless of how we choose to act, we will always be opposed by the status quo. They will twist everything we do or say and use it against us.” If you have the Supermentor, at the base make a bet with Derek that he’s a good kisser.

Name the team Unsupervised, Power Posse, Shadowstrikers, Renegades, Based Bunch, Based, Band, Fluorescent Adolescents, Whippersnappers, All-Stars, Stargazers, or Starlight Seekers.

Don’t get the info from Blair and go to the Burg with Derek and Ghostling. Tell Ghostling that you used to come here when you were younger and ask Derek what’s his Waffle Wonderland.

At the Burg, get the info from Joe without resorting to violence. If you choose to bribe him, you’ll need at least 3 Presence. If you choose to talk to him, you’ll need at least 4 Presence.

Let Ghostling have a bite of your food at the Burg. When the argument between her and Derek escalates, tell Derek “You fucking watch it, Derek.” If you ask why Derek never asked you out, you can start dating him here (this does not affect your relationship stats nor make it easier to dance with him but it does activate the derekDating variable)

When breaking into to Jackdaw’s house, choose to storm his place together and bring Derek with you.

If you have the Supermentor, tell the team about what happened at the port when you reach the warehouse.

When interrogating Crazy Chris and you have the Batmentor, say “Easy. he/she wasn’t on the Rigazzo Family’s payroll, like everybody else.” or “To deliver true justice, one cannot be limited by the constraints of flawed human laws.”

At the party, you get a slight boost to your relationship if you dance by yourself and have 7 Presence and 7 Agility.

When dancing with Derek say “'Cause I’m Mr. Brightside!”
Depending on your power, your mentor, and who you killed, you won’t need to do all of this but you will need to do most of these.

I did almost all of that besides the murder stuff and the super high dance stats and ended up with 74. I really don’t think it should be this hard to romance Derek. Especially since Ghostling is so easy even if you don’t kill the bone guy

Mood. I thought he would be the easiest to romance because he needs the least checks to flirt with early on and is confirmed to have had feelings for the MC for a while. But then that song comes up and he’s too busy thinking of Flit. I had to put a lot of work to dance with this guy.
