Well, the shit’s about to hit the fan. I always felt a little insecure when he is around for some reason. For example, the scene with the hoverhawks only happens when he is part of the team. It can easily be explained away, but for some reason, I can’t help but feel that there is more to it. I mean, we don’t even get to hear about those agents in the news or anywhere if we make a clean getaway. I don’t know. It’s just weird.

True, but frankly I am more worried about the last part…Its the Nexus. The phrase depends on the personality module…How in the bloody hell is the protagonist connected to the Nexus? What does she mean when she says two who are none will become one???

That makes sense. Derek has been reckless with his powers and has gotten them killed in the line of duty. Its noticable they’ve undergone a shift when a dude confronts Sawyer and MC.

I’m not sure if this has been asked or answered before, but what happens if the original Derek dies while a dude is still roaming free? Could it be that the original Derek got killed somehow, allowing a dude his freedom?

I don’t think dude can make other dude so the one in the team is the original and I think they would just still live even if Derek died they don’t seem to have need of him,he say that he let a lot of them act independently around the world to gain knowlege and competence so perhaps one of them decide to go rogue and join the organisation that create the doser ?

It’s possible that Hauntress meant that Derek would betray PARENTS for us. Then again I could just be coping.
I’m torn between wanting Derek to betray us for the greater good because it would be interesting and Derek staying loyal to us because I like him.

Or, and hear me out here: What if Derek betrays us to Myers and a dude betrays Derek for us? Would be interesting to see that the copy is more honestly loyal than the original. There are so many mentions of Derek acting sus, from his acting, to his reactions, to Lilith’s suspicions, to that whole mess with Sawyer since they are absolutely not reliable when it comes to objective judgements, it would be strange for him not to…

In my humble opinion it is probably the team since, even if he decides to help and join the crew, he never technically betrays Myers, the Parent’s organization or its agents, since he always seems concerned for their lives, as well as insisting on returning to keep up appearances…
But on the other hand, he already betrayed the Omega responders former sidekicks, or more specifically, he betrayed them from Flit’s point of view.

This and the fact that the betrayal is prophesied to happen regardless of whether we have chosen to trust and recruit the OG Derek or not, also makes me think of a Dude going rogue against the original Derek and other Dudes.
If you have Enhanced Senses, when the original Derek reveals his plan to you, it is mentioned several times that he is telling the truth, or at the very least, thinks he is telling the truth - there’s always the chance that he hypnotized himself to believe so, of course.

The question is was that truly the og Derek and not a dude masquerading as him for some other part of his secret plan… thing is it is smart not to trust him sadly despite my interest in romancing him as my enhanced senses mc he acts far too sus or like you said hypnotized or thinks he is telling the honest truth.

Derek actually addressed this lol. He says he will respect their choices and won’t reabsorb them, basically.
