The characters’ bios (and the rest of the info on the stats screen) need to be worked upon, and are based on the outlines we had for the characters when coming up with them–so they don’t necessarily reflect the MC’s POV.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I’d been operating under the assumption that everything in the bios were common knowledge among the heroes and that they therefore should have some idea of her past temperament (even if they didn’t witness it personally). But yeah, if Gloomy Lilith and Fake Video Lilith are genuinely the only versions of her they’ve ever been aware of, their reactions make sense, and I’m perfectly fine waiting for that background to emerge at the character’s pace.

Not all of the scenes that I mentioned were too long. Some, yes. But the one with Blair was short and it didn’t made much sense until we got an explanation at the Old Port.

It would be funny if we could get Thaumaturge to monologue.

Similarly, this is before the action starts and the info is important later down the road. I personally prefer to learn this kind of thing during the course of the story than to read about it somewhere else. Keep in mind that you can use that information to convince Snorter to change sides, and that it gets mentioned again by the end of the scene. So, while it might be a bit of a wall of text, it is not gratuitous IMO, as it connects to other things in the scene.

I can get behind that. It’s important information and I was actually delighted when I first read about our mentor ending a war all by themselves. The timing of it is just what I noticed. It’s more of a nit-pick, really.

It’s important info, though. It moves the plot forward, reveals some things about the organization behind the superdrug, explains how the operation in Vera City was set up, and hints at how you might be able to solve the mystery later on. It’s the “reward” at the end of the scene.

Either way, it’s one of the parts of the game that will have modifications eventually–so we might end up not making it obligatory

That’s good to know! Interacting with Christopher was great (especially with a time manipulator mc).

His explanation is just a bit long for me, but it’s not bad. I’d probably trim it, however, since we’re interrogating him on enemy territory. Time is of the essence and all that.

I always love your writing @MahatmaDagon. It’s very clear and simple yet flows beautifully. I’ve played through once and I’m seeing people talking about stuff I definitely missed so I’m guessing this game must be pretty wide which I’m excited about. I personally loved Thaumaturges 4th wall breaking monolog before the last fight, and punching his teeth out of course.

I wonder of anybody else got confused by that though because The Other choices actually say Elemental: Fire: Wind Etc, or Time manipulation but the Enhanced ability power is labeled to look like the normal skill choices.

We can’t level a building with one hand or run at supersonic speed but surely lifting a car or running on wall are doable feats

I love this book so far. I’ve done a different path, or power, each time, and they have all been very entertaining. One thing in particular that I loved was Thaumaturge breaking the fourth wall, and the fact that it implies he is so smart that he actually does know everything, and he isn’t just the stereotypical overly confident smart villain who thinks he knows everything.
