You went to the questioning with Derek after Propaganda, right? I think there was a way to reach the end of that scene without the variable of having cooperated with them being true, which I just fixed. Either way, it doesn’t explain how that variable stayed as “none” for you. I’m looking into it.

If you pursue Propaganda alone in the streets of NYC and Derek asks you to come with him and answer a few questions, you can say:

#I tell him there must be some misunderstanding. I was working under Lorelai's orders.

Otherwise, if you meet him inside the Bowie Ballroom with the others, (and Flit doesn’t get shot) Flit says:

"But... Derek... what the hell are you doing working for PARENTS?" they ask, not hiding their disbelief.

To which he answers:

"Please, Flit, don't make this into a thing. $!{alias} is also working with Director Myers, and you haven't said anything to ${xim} about it."

Both Flit and LB look at you, but it is the teleporter who voices their concern once again.

"What? You too, ${alias}?" Flit asks, dismayed.

Then you can try to justify yourself.

Elsewhere, if you go the crime route in Paris and talk with Thaumaturge in Vera City, the others can overhear him mentioning that “while you went around the world committing crimes with your illusionist friend, I did everything I could to uncover the secrets of the disappearance of your mentor and the rest of the Omega Responders.”

Which leads to Flit and the others questioning you about it, and one of the explanations you can give them is:

#I declare that Thaumaturge was referring to an undercover operation I performed for PARENTS, to take down a dangerous criminal organization.

And then there are a few more options and narration changes across the game that take that into consideration, sometimes with multiple conditionals, like this one:

It soon became obvious that the best way to reach your goal was to have both of you joining the agency, but at different times and under different circumstances. Derek would be the first, to become a full-fledged agent, while you would come later as an occasional collaborator, to avoid raising suspicions. He would act as the ambitious and dedicated young man willing to go to any lengths to find the truth, and you would pose as the indecisive teenager who was still unsure if working with PARENTS was the right move.

If you think there’s a specific passage where it should be mentioned and isn’t, let me know and I’ll take a look. But, just for clarification, here’s the description if you choose that option in the beginning:

Lorelai had been trying to coerce the Omega Responders's sidekicks into working for her for a while now, and asked you to monitor your former colleague tonight.

"This little concert of his is an enormous security risk. We don't have enough people to scan all threats across the globe, so I'd appreciate it if I could count on you to make sure nothing bad happens there," she told you over the phone. "And then, if things go smoothly, we can talk about you having a more... active role in the organization."

It doesn’t say you are an agent or an asset, but that you have been asked a “favor” (which is actually a test) and that it might lead to more opportunities with the agency in the future, if it goes well. This culminates in the “job offer” she eventually gives you. Maybe the wording was misleading here and it gave you the impression you were an agent from the start? If that’s the case, I can clarify it.

I don’t like games where my skill stats jump around just for making different choices. That said, I could never really dig fallen hero. Now this one really kick ass. A thousand of us may also be great, assuming it will get finished.

@MahatmaDagon I believe the Rattlebag bug still persist.
I let the earth swallow him whole, burying him deep within the catacombs. This time, forever.

“No problemo. The ol’ Rattleboy won’t be telling anyone about us anytime soon.”

As you can see, this is clearly the wrong reaction from Ghostling. Furthermore, I also think it should skyrocket our relationship stat with Ghostling.

Yes I did. And now that I look at the code of the game I must say that I never cooperate with Parent during almost all my run ( that mean I don’t go with Derek after the show ), and for some reason They don’t put a power-dampening collar on my MC when they get him after Vera city fight despite the fact that my relation with them should be bad.

Also with enhanced speed power I decide to enter as a team of super hero into the crazy chris baze then one of the Enchmen call snorter he threaten my MC and there without transition the other arrive and we go interrogate crazy chris… not even a line that say" you knock him out before he can do anything" or something, is that a bug ?

Dashingdon apparently uses old version of Choicescript.

*if chains are broken if you use *comment between branches.

See In implicit_control_flow, *comment interrupts *if/*elseif chain · Issue #135 · dfabulich/choicescript · GitHub

You can try this regex to find other invalidating comments if you want to remove/swap them around for beta:
\*comment.+\n(\s?(\*comment.+)?)?\s?\*else

Thanks for the report! As far as I can tell, this was the only passage that was still bugged, but please let me know if you find anything else like that.

Her proper reaction for that choice if you killed him is:

"And you made sure of that," she says. "You know, now that I think about it, you kinda did what Zweihander did to Cutlass. But I'm not going to complain about it. In fact, I appreciate it. The only thing that matters is that Rattlebag won't be hurting anyone ever again."

I do think having killed him should increase your relationship with her, but not as much as siding with her early and letting her kill him herself. I’m adding the same relationship value for it if you kill him with fire earlier.

Okay, @nat figured it out. Some comments in the game were bugging with dashingdon and making the game skip whole passages. All* your previous reports should be fixed in version 0.72, which I’m uploading soon. Thank you both!

*Minus the one about enhanced speed characters skipping the fight with Snorter. I think I know what’s causing it. I’ll edit this post when I fix it and upload the new version.

EDIT: I uploaded the new version. Other than bug fixes, now most (if not all) paths leading to the confrontation in the warehouse should also pass through the choice about how your character views/deals with henchmen.

@MahatmaDagon I believe I found a few inconsistencies regarding Flit.
I lie, and say that I dozed off at some point. When I woke up, he was gone. [Presence]

As you can see, I was able to successfully convince them of my fake innocence. Yet they claim to not trust me in this next scene.
I tell them I think they’re on the right track, and that they should invite me the next time they go out investigating.

Had I fail to convince them, this reaction would’ve been reasonable. I suppose one could argue that Flit was lying to me also when they claimed to believe me, but my relationship stat didn’t drop when I told the lie, making it somewhat unlikely. Later on in the game, they again show their mistrust.
I can raise the tide, fish them out. [Elemental Mastery: Water]

I can set the place on fire, smoke them out. [Elemental Mastery: Fire]

Assuming they believe I killed Rattlebag, these are all reasonable responses. However, given that my lie was supposed to be successful, it looks more like a bug/inconsistency. You be the judge LOL.
