How about “You’re calling the shots” or “You’re the boss”?
I like these because, as mentioned, the first choice of the game is whether the player wants to see expletives or have them replaced by grawlix.
If I go dance with Derek and take his hand, I go back to the choice of the people that ask me with whom I want to dance without any transition, so I think it’s a bug
It might be that, since he comes later in the story, his variable gains need to be inflated. But overall personality doesn’t matter as much as what you say or do. These might overlap, of course, but personality is something that is always changing even when you do private stuff, while relationship values tend to change when the characters see you doing or saying something they approve or disapprove of.
Derek doesn’t like when you hurt innocent people or abuse your powers, for example, and he’s very protective of Sawyer. Also, siding with PARENTS (before he reveals he’s a double/triple agent) tends to decrease your relationship with him, because he really doesn’t like the organization.
Thanks, I got it fixed. Sending the update now. Check if it says version 0.69d on top.
I would like to make a small suggestion regarding this scene. It’s not a big deal, and I will understand if you think it a hassle, but could you perhaps make it so that, if you type in some of these existing team names, we still get the team reactions? My reasoning is that, when you type in some of these existing names, you can bypass the randomness and you don’t have to count on luck to get your favourite name and reactions.
I’m not totally sold on the grawlix for some reason. I think maybe it’s because I wouldn’t usually expect “ass” to be censored as a “milder” swearword so it makes me pause for a second and wonder what it is before recognising it. (Whereas with books like “Un**** Your Habitat” or “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a ****” it’s immediately clear what they’re censoring.) I may just be being dense when reading it, as the word “kick” should make it pretty clear.
Perhaps to me the grawlix implies that the game is more on the childish end of the spectrum if “ass” is censored in the title when “kicking ass” is so mild? (I think “kick butt” would also feel a bit more aimed at younger audiences). Even though it’s not anyone’s fault except the storefront. Maybe if a grawlix implied a stronger swear I would find it more catchy. “You were a sidekick. Now **** things up.” or something.
I do like the sentence construction of “now you [verb]” though as it does feel more punchy/active than “now you are […]”.
That said: “You were the sidekick. Now be the boss.” ? (I’m stuck on “boss”, I like it a lot because it feels strong and makes me think of boss fights)
The problem with that is that one is that it doesn’t call back to the sidekick part, like the original going from ‘sideKICK’ to ‘KICK ass’ so it’s a lot less catchy IMO.
Yeah. The original one is so good! It’s a shame about the storefront.
Online spaces are becoming weird with even the mildest swear word getting censored worse than Club Penguin, it’s truly a strange thing to see in real time.
Remind me the stories my parents would tell me about how saying ‘Damn’ would get old people super shocked at you but now it’s the ‘new internet’ that’s shocked.
Their is a little bug when I ask Rattlebag if he want a punch
Also after a few try I must say that it is not possible to danse with Derek if you didn’t choose the “totally not superman” mentor because it’s the only one that give you the opportunity to gain enough derek relation stats ( by making a bet that he is a good kisser and by telling him the mentor story with the port of vera city) so could I suggest reducing the difficulty of the stat test that give the possibility to danse with him ?
This one is easy, since the game already checks the name before giving the reactions. I’m going to add it along with the option to decide what form of the “to be” verb the custom team name uses. Like, the Avengers “are”, but the Justice League “is”.
That’s a very good point. I make the connection because I already know what’s supposed to go there, but new players might not.
Maybe… @$$? ![]()
Thank you, I’m fixing it.
You can also gain some stats with him with the Batmentor or the Elementor by “showing him something cool” at the base but yeah, I think some values gained need to be increased (or tests made easier) since he comes late in the story.
In my personal experience, Apple will still throw the censorship hammer at this. I haven’t dealt with them in a few years, but in general, their policies, and practices have been rock steady when it comes to gatekeeping their walled environment.
I say, try it, regardless, but have a plan c ready, just in case.
As I said in my last post regarding Google… I am surprised they took exception to “ass”, since the broadcast rules (which much of their standards are based upon) has been relaxed years ago regarding that word.
Both of these companies are involved with major litigation between Epic and themselves, so them controlling their walled stores are expected.
This has been the case since these stores were made, just the granular details on what is and isn’t approved has varied.
This may sound like a stupid question, but is there any way to kill Propaganda without people seeing you? I haven’t seen any option to do so, but can’t be too sure. It would’ve been nice if we could corner him on the street with time powers and give him a quick decay, or simply make the earth swallow him up like with Rattlebag. I can also picture a funny scenario in which you rewind time for a supervillain, turning them into a baby before handing them to parents.
Really? I chose Chronomancer until recently (I really LOVE playing with enhanced senses I found though so now I play with totally not Batman,) and didn’t realise that the play centered around things not your powers and training differs all that much.
You were a Robin Now, you are a Batman
maybe it is not what you are looking for but i thought it will be nice to join so i thought of something that can give the same feeling of a sidekick turning to a powerful hero
( i dont know why but every time i read the sentence i want to laugh )
“The world remembers you as a sidekick. It’s time to show them how you’ve grown!” or something. The main thing in the story are all the callbacks to the MC, and their fellow Omega Runts sidekick squad younger days, even if these themes are more implicit in the text, and the main focus is the major event that ‘ended’ the era of the Omega Responders.
Lots of synonms derived, but "The world remembers you as a sidekick. It’s time to show them how you’ve grown!” i do like from LadyUmbreon89.
“You were a Sidekick. Now what the hell ya gonna be?”
“You were a Sidekick. Now you are a Sideshow"
it Rhymes
All the other suggestions sound good but “kick ass” just sounds better. Maybe try grawlix before trying any of the other suggestions
