That separation is only temporary though. Thaumaturge just wants us to get attached to the dystopian world so that when we return stopping Nexus would become an even bigger dilemma.
It’s the usual fun with the time travel. Depending how you look at it the universe has originally run an iteration where MC and their lover did not separate. Then, 20 years down that future the supervillain decides to mess with it and overwrite it with the version where he swaps MCs. (and creates a paradox in the process) Now, depending on MC’s decision that whole branch can be overwritten yet again, or left as is.
Alternatively, your lover had a daughter with your 20 year older self. Fun for the whole family.
Possible.
But its already over for my mind.
Edit: I have to reread I suppose. I take it as going to live 20 years in that life. Maybe? Maybe not after all? Its bit confusing whats happening honestly. Its confusing to have a daughter when seperated. Alt me?! Whatever. That isn’t me.
It doesnt change my mind to stop the rogue AI. Alt me isn’t me nor is my alt family mine. It belongs to the alt me that wanted a kid apparently.
I think their problem with the whole thing is just their future mc having a child at all
Yeah, reproducing is typically best left to player choice barring context of the story/setting (ex: War of the West where having heirs is pretty much expected, or Hero Maker where it’s required for the story to exist).
Then again, we’re listening to a madman and this is the same game where there’s a possible Time War leading to the creation of multiple timelines, so who the hell knows what’s coming?
First time noticing the stats with high quipping. Gotta admit it’s pretty funny.
Agility: 100 (Can do a backflip while doing another backflip)
Strength: 101 (Can break hearts with a single flex)
Intellect: 101 (Choice of Games editor)
Presence: 100 (Used car salesman)
Awareness: 101 (Knows what’s really going on)
I avoided bloodline happening in War of the West. Either I made Queen to stand against the force or I (99% of the time) sacrifice myself.
Otherwise even Crusader Kings, used console commands to ignore bloodlines. Conquer the world 100s of years as the first Empress, no lineage.
That’s how I am with worlds that want/force you to propiate.
I already know Im stopping the rogue AI. A kid, I don’t want, doesn’t change it. If above statements says anything.
Isn’t that… the whole point of CK though?
You know what, you do you. If you enjoy it, go crazy.
Technically, the actual point of CK is to establish equine empire.
Yep! It’s building an Empire, the point of its plot.
But onto what I think.
The easy fix is removing the idea that there is a child there. I was ok with the ordeal of everyone else, and it implications alone.
Edit: if I known, I wouldn’t of romanced.
Erased some stuff.
i let rattlebag go free but he’s in the base jail
To be continued… ![]()
Welp I love this and absolutely can’t wait to read the sequel!
I’ve been thinking now but um if they make a sequel how will the process be saved and processed to the new game, I haven’t deleted my current save since i dont want to lose all the choices I have made. Also curious how it work if you eventually have multiple saves, like will there be an ability to pick one oe the other?
CoG has a save system and you can have multiple saves, but it usually doesn’t get implemented until just before the sequel is published.
This was definitely true for a long time, but I was under the impression it had been recently changed?
Thanks for the response, does that mean when that dies happen I would need to replay the last chapter since unlike some of the other games this one luckily enough has a save option for each chapter which is really useful and im glad its a feature in the game or would the option to save my process appear alongside the other options ar the end of current playthrough.
It seems to wait until release?
I started over on mine. Then holding off til 2nd part.
If the next instalment is a separate app (like the Creme de la Creme or Werewolves series) an import ability will be introduced close to the sequel release. Depending whether new variables are added, you’ll probably need to replay the whole game.
If it ends up being an update to the original app, you may be able to load to an earlier chapter but again, it’ll depend whether new variables are added - a game saved before they were added won’t work correctly.
Kinda confused–looking at the forum now, I get that the game is apparently unfinished–which is kind of a bummer, bc I didn’t see any indication of that on the app. But putting that aside, is that what’s behind the plot dropoff with Telltale, or did I just miss something?
Like, I joined her in Paris and navigated the confrontation with the other woman, was asked to join their operation, etc…but then the operation never seemed to come back up? iirc, there was even a relationship stat with her, and then she and the stat sorta just…disappeared? It came up briefly in the fight with the evil genius guy that I’d been stealing and working with her, and then that was the last time there was any indication of the path.
Similarly, it seemed like there were going to be real chances to connect with Blair. I visited her in person and revealed my identity, tried to choose all the options that would lead to us reconnecting, didn’t press her for answers, etc., and then again when I went to confront w/o support she just sorta went off and it didn’t seem like there was a way to establish anything there that would effect the story or your relationship? And then she didn’t seem to tie into the sorta odd, abrupt skiffy time-traveler ending I got.
I dunno, maybe I’m missing something (hopefully???) but it’s just a bit of a bummer bc the two characters that felt the most interesting to me made brief, teasing appearances that seemed to imply they might have importance for the story and then just…disappeared? But please tell me I’m missing something if there was actually a way to bring them more into the fold of the story!!!
Yes, there’s a number of side-plots like that which currently just peter out without any real resolution. Telltale can show up in couple of villain endings, and Blair gets mentioned in heroic ending (the one for other MCs than the time manipulator) as one of major antagonists in the future, but that’s the extent of it.
