Good sir can i do anything with my elemental powers? And adversary as well how to defeat her?
Sure, but my personal favorite here is the time manipulation way to defeat her. If you have brooding < 10, you get this after beating/killing Nora:
What the ${fuck}. She really fell for this Looney Tunes-${ass} trap.
There were scenes outlined in Casablanca, Macau, and Brazil–you have to trust us when we say we had to leave a lot of stuff out of the game. May Kyle Marquis be with us next time so we get past the 1M wordcount mile.
Game ends shortly after the beta ended, you’re basically paying for like 10 minutes more content lol
Yeah, game’s not finished.
It’s not even a cliffhanger, the story simply isn’t over / no narrative arc is brought to conclusion.
Feels like a rip-off.
Ive never been more disappointed in a CoG game in my life.
Ive never played a CoG or hosted game that didnt feel complete in my life.
I felt like I played the demo. Couldn’t be a villian long enough to be satisfied.
I’ve shared my thoughts on this one above.
Speaking as a longtime COG customer and occasional playtester, if any COG Administrators are reading this, I am officially requesting a refund from your company for this poorly designed product.
I’ve read dozens of your company’s games, many excellent, and never made such a request before, but this one really sunk beneath expectations.
This is simply an unfinished product, quite disappointing - felt like the story was just starting and just ended abruptly and not like a ‘we’ve saved the rest for a sequel’ but more ‘we ran out of time’.
Yeah this one is rough. I played through the demo probably dozens of times and was really hyped for the full game to drop. But honestly, there’s not enough additional content to justify spending money on it, which is a shame becasue I really wanted to like this one.
Is the ending after the party? I noticed there was so many hidden routes and I think that was the problem. I think the author stretch themselves to too many routes to have a long story.
If you mean the discussion after the attack on Vera City, then you need 4+ intellect, 6+ presence, and at no point in the game choose options which have MC baffled at Derek’s actions, or express surprise at his reveal.
I think if you’ve played the demo, then the justification to buy the full version is to reward the authors for all the hard work they’ve put in the game, and to hopefully contribute to enough sales to warrant a proper sequel. As opposed to just playing 95% of the game for free and then claim it’s not worth the money.
At least, that’s my reason to buy the thing. Given the timing of the release i didn’t expect much to be added to the finished game, compared to the demo (cue malcolm in the middle meme) but to use it as justification to not offer the authors any compensation, well, that’d be just crass.
You didn’t play the “demo” (which just came out a few weeks ago and is only 2 chapters) you played the “beta” meant for playtesters. That’s not meant to be played for free for shits & giggles, that’s for testers to help find bugs, typos, and polish the final version of the game.
Supporting your favourite authors is great(they need to earn their due thanks to the these lovely projects) but they shouldn’t show all their cards in the demo like it works as a way of showcasing a concept but not for dumping the whole narrative there. If it is the beta testing though? then it is alright only way to get info about what works and what doesn’t for the plot.
Not my case this time as I didn’t know anything about the game before playing but yeah sometimes you need to be strategic regarding the product you want to sell.
What determines how much XP you get each chapter?
It depends mostly on your MC’s class. The numbers are fixed per chapter, but there’s some additional small bonuses you can gain through various actions.

IIRC you start with a small amount of xp in addition to chapter gains.
Thanks! But I keep getting different values. For chapter 1, time manipulation gives me 60xp.
Yes.
I dunno, beating him with his own tech is pretty epic too.
Good for you; at least you have the option of being a villain.
I was waiting the whole time to be a small-time villain with my eco-terrorist plot or rob some banks or something, but it just never happened.
I was totally surprised when the game ended, and it just felt really bad. I, of course, played games in a series before, like Choice of Rebel or the Hero Rise series, but this one just feels really bad for some reason.
if it’s just a free DLC then why not, but if it’s a second book I don’t think I’ll follow that one, what’s here didn’t really grab my attention.
The quipping route and some of the convos is crazy.
Have you tried to making Thaumaturge laugh yet?
