I just finished the game. So I’m not sure if the Thief girl has a decent amount of content, but Thelma and Blair only have one or two scenes each. I planned to romance Nora, but I haven’t even met her.
Compared to male ROs and Flint, Ghost is the only female character with a decent amount of romantic content.(+thief girl mb, not sure)
I enjoyed the game, but I will say not knowing this would be a series kind of made me feel disappointed when I thought it would be a stand alone I was getting? I’m not sure if disappointed is the right word, and I get that the surprise cliffhanger was the point, but it still felt like I had been a bit mislead? Interested to see what happens in the next one though because that was some verbal bomb to drop before a TBC.
I haven’t played the release yet, but I’m sure I’ll have a blast. I just need to finish reading some other games first or I’ll forget where I am at them.
I haven’t really followed this one during development so I’ve probably missed out on a lot of information. Was the game deliberately released unfinished to meet a deadline, or was the cliff-hanger the intended ending all along? I realise that there are a lot of routes in the story that I haven’t seen yet, so maybe they provide context that makes the ending more satisfying.
If I remember correctly they wanted to make it standalone and finish it with dlc.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. I can see that being a risky strategy with regards to reviews, because people aren’t really warned they aren’t getting a complete story (in the Steam store, at least). I do hope reviewers can look past it because I think the game deserves to do well.
I agree that’s a risky strategy but this game is great and worth buying.
Awesome game, might be a top 3 of all time in my opinion, but the cliffhanger absolutely blindsided me. Thought it was standalone lol. A little disappointing.
Great game. The cliffhanger is crazy though. Kinda disappointed. Reviews might take a hit since most people don’t follow the forums like that and wouldn’t know about it. Hopefully a update comes out or a dlc to finish it.
Hopefully we can save Blair and maybe rekindle. Lots of unanswered questions and I can’t wait to see them answered.
I think there should be a warning on all platforms that it’s being planned that way because not all buyers are from this forum so they’ll be unaware about the cliffhanger thing in order to prevent bad reviews that tells people not to purchase this.
I already knew that this was in the plans so it doesn’t really affect me in the slightest
Could someone tell me why the game ends abruptly? thank you!
Very stoked to read this! Huge congrats!
It’s going to be finished with dlc.
Hopefully the DLC comes out this year. This game is really great but that cliffhanger was killer.
Think the author might be working on their other game for a bit the War for the West sequel
Here’s what I said about it on the other thread:
But… yeah, I’m a sucker for cliffhangers.
Don’t worry to much, maybe if that info about a DLC or sequel is provided to the non-followers everything should be A-okay. After all, all the best series have cliffhangers that’s why the fans always come back, they want to, no! they need to know what happens next . And from what is provided so far, the price is definitely justifiable, not many provide a cheat menu or even a word count as big as Unsupervised ,and not only is this story made by two ambitious and fantastic authors, the story is already super exciting and cool asf.
Fanbase that are comic series fans, know the struggle for cliffhangers
Evil Mc was badass period.
Have some coffee and a cookie Dear Authors y’all did a brilliant job.

Honestly, no. Cliffhangers are a cheap device you’ll find in all sorts of stories regardless of their quality, and too often a crutch used to drum up interest artificially. You don’t need a cliffhanger in actual “best story” for the fans to want more of it and to come back to get more.
Came here to read the comments before playing, ended up avoiding being blindsided by now knowing there’s a cliffhanger haha
This is true, but there are good cliffhangers out there. Also cliffhangers keep the readers at least a good majority of the time engaged with either theories or ideas(that the authors sometime incorporate), tho cliffhangers can be annoying and many see cliffhangers as a cop-out for writers. They are needed plot devices, to either lure readers back for that s2 or s3 of a story. But sometimes like in this case to give the authors time to flesh out a sequel(which would be amazing) or proper endings for a DLC.
