UnNatural - A supernatural horror game - editing complete, beta testing over

@Txu I have no idea, they might have a special sign to tell e.g. burn when silver touches them or even just being busy on a full moon…

Silver does burn a werewolf/lycanthrope when in wolf form but in human form it actually supresses the transformation.

I’m busy with my son atm but am making notes when I have got the chance. I am working on the monster lore for the monsters of this universe.

Thats okay! Have fun playing/being with your son! Are you going to go for traditional struff or take a new view?

I would like a mixture of the two offering. New twists on the traditional lore.

Nice one

An idea I am playing with atm is that vampires have a defense mechanism where the

Oh I can only see half the message which is odd…

It would be funny if you used the lore that says vampires can’t cross running water! I would find that hilarious, a powerful vampire that can’t cross a little bit of water

Maybe Nocturnal wants us to guess.

Here’s mine: Where the fangs shoot a jet of poisonous blood.

That’s odd I did write more.

It should be

…vampires have a defense mechanism where they turn into statues when the sun rises.

Wait, you said that if you become a monster, the SRT hunts you down. What if you become a monster then could do something for them, say, save one of their members from certain death? Then could they accept you as their first monster officer or something?

So it would be a bit like the weeping angels in doctor who (bit of a geek is I). Yeah i think that would be a good idea, but sure the hunters good just break the stone?

And what would happen if you REALLY started to like one of the monsters you were hunting? Would you still kill them or let them go?

When a statue they cannot be hurt the stone is extremely dense and durable. But yes similar to the weeping angels but you can blink they are only stone during the day.

I suppose it would be possible to befriend someone and learn they are the monster you are after would be a dilemma.

Though just had an idea that could combine that last dilemma with azeroths wish to become a monster working for the SRT.

Question: Do you think this game should have a morality bar?

Yes, maybe how much you abuse your position.

I’d enjoy a morality bar, although the morality choices would have to be done well and the bar would have to be more complex than just “good” or “bad”, as the morality bar can come off as just plain silly if done to simply.

Perhaps the bar could reflect the protagonist’s philosophy in regards to morality? Whether he/she leans more towards consequentialism or deontology. AKA how much the protagonist think the means justify the ends.

I like the consequential v deontology idea.

I will see how I can work it into the game.

Very small update to add the morality bar which isn’t used yet and revise the monster descriptions for the vampire and werewolves (if you choose to focus on them)

Have a playthrough and if you see anywhere you think there should be morality choice/increase

The link isn’t working for me, I get rerouted to a page claiming “sorry, this page was not found”.

@13ventrm

Its playing up I’m trying to fix it now. I’m getting an error about a ‘window.nav’ not existing

There I think I fixed it.
