Trial of the Demon Hunter

No problem. I may not have found success, but if I can ever help out by passing on what I’ve learnt, I’m happy to do so.

And I think it’s past my bedtime now. 1:10am in the UK. Maybe a Grimm episode first though . . .

@DavidGil
I’m sure you will!

Haha xD or two

DH has now been updated on all four platforms. The update includes

1.) Typo fixes
2.) Bug fixes
3.) More paragraphing

whoo!

Good news: I expect to post the beta for Judgement of the Fallen - book two of Demons Among Men in about 2 weeks!

Great I want to see Titus again, my cuteness

@poison_mara
There are a lot more interactions with him :slight_smile: better, too.

Sweet! I like that lil fella. Pat him on the head and give him a treat.

I wanna play it already :((

@jjc37
Many treats :slight_smile:

@poison_mara
I’m dying to finish it!

Hey, Samuel, I just played through Trial of the Demon Hunter and loved it. It was a bit shorter than I thought it’d be, but I liked it nonetheless. I’ve played through like 5 times to try and get all of the acheivments and I actually managed to get all but two in my last play through. I have never gotten the “Greatest Demon Hunter/huntress” achievement, though. I’m now determined to keep playing through until I get it. Lol.

Anyway, I loved the story, it was well written, but there were a few grammatical issues, nothing to great, just the expected typo here and there. I enjoy your style of writing, it’s a lot like mine. I also loved your use of “juxtaposition”, it’s technically not a word and you’ll only ever really find it in Edgar Allen Poe’s work. I just found this funny because I personally took it as an Edgar Allen Poe shout-out. If it wasn’t, then whatever, I still enjoyed the story.

My only complaint is that I just like my books to be a bit longer. Then again, there are several sequels to come, so it isn’t that big of a deal. I can’t wait to read them, so keep up the good work.

@Sid
I’m glad you liked it :smiley: good job! That achievement is definitely the hardest. You have to make some sacrifices (namely, not gaining some awesome weapons in the castle at your own risk)

Also, don’t worry if you can’t get them all in one playthrough; you have to make trade offs to get some, which make it harder to get another. For example, it’s probably impossible to get the stealth AND the bravery achievement :stuck_out_tongue:

It was indeed a shout out :slight_smile: Poe was an amazing writer.

I’m actually about 3 weeks away from finishing the sequel :slight_smile: Also, I’m planning on submitting another update in the next few days that should hopefully take out those typos.

@everyone
DH was mentioned in the 13th issue of the literary magazine, Fighting Fantazine! The problem is, they credited the author as Ivailo Daskalov…

Congrats on your first article :slight_smile:

@Nocturnal_Stillness
Thanks :slight_smile: hopefully they fix it soon so I’m actually listed as the author :stuck_out_tongue:

I just downloaded issue 13 from the fighting fantazine site and can’t find the mention? What page is it on?

Edit: I think I found it, the article mentions “Trial of the demon” I think the reason they put Ivaylo Daskalov as the author is because that seems to be a planned third book in a trilogy after two games “dating a witch” and “the path of light”

@Nocturnal_Stillness
They may have taken it down to fix it. I’ll go check

I’m rather insulted, actually. Here’s what it says:

“Gamebook author Ivailo Daskalov has released several gamebook apps recently.

The other two adventures, Path of Light, and Trial of the Demon—”

-_- …They got the title and the author wrong, and didn’t even have a description of it. They just mentioned it.

In lighter news, CoG was mentioned in detail on page 13.

@Samuel_H_Young Ivailo sent an inquiry regarding the COG label, but we suggested he develop a game for HG first.

@jasonstevanhill
I was actually the one who suggested it to him :slight_smile:

Well, the issue’s been fixed.
