Before you do Book 3 again, you may need to start from Book 1 again because she has done a lot of revising, and possibly not for the better. This is assuming you haven’t already done so, in which case you are scaring me because it really could stretch out into a never-ending story! 
Please say she is going to edit/ revise/rewrite all this!

From what I read Mishka does not really take to feedback.
She is only looking for misspellings and such.

I understand that not all criticism is good criticism, but some are, and hearing what readers have to say is not a bad thing, especially if you want to keep them engaged for 7 books and a quarter of their life. Although, with N’s solo scene, I got the impression she did respond to all the people wanting more romance from b3 and less ‘let’s bang on the pool table and in a meadow after training’.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it lime fully new scenes or just altered descriptions and things? I usually just skin after my second playthrough of IFs and just read new content or my favorite parts.

I did the Patreon $5 tier just for the update and honestly I was rather disappointed.
It felt too short with the N route the interruption part was really lame and made no sense.
I have not tried romancing any of the other characters.
I felt like with how long she has been working on this first chapter for B4 there should of been more to the update, or at least more content in Chapter 1.
I really liked B1 and B2, B3 was ok.
But honestly at this point it feels like she is purposefully drawing creating B4 out as much as she can for whatever reason. The jaded part of me wonders if part of the reason is monetary.
I understand that creating and coding books can be incredibly hard and can taken years to do and I admire those of you that can do that because there is no way in heck that I could ever do that.
But with how long it took to to get B2 and B3, I wonder if she will ever complete the series because how many readers are going to wait a decade or more for the rest of the books.
No disrespect to any of the IF authors, including Misha/Sera. Jut my thoughts about how the series started and how it’s going

At this point we are a walking meme of the same name. I already struggle very, very hard with roleplaying my kids in romantic engagements, and if push comes to shove, I’ll just do no romance run and tell everyone how it went. Might also make my character a massive raging cunt for the lulz.

No one in this game ever has a conversation about anything they should be discussing. Or, if they start to have a serious conversation, it is immediately interrupted before the subject is actually broached in a meaningful way. The reason is obvious, though: to drag things out for seven books.
You’re right. I believe the problem is that that isn’t the kind of drama she wants to have. She wants the MC in a constant state of anxiety over everything, and having an adult conversation where a tells the MC they have to deal with their own trauma first lessens it for her.
The demo takes the MC’s overwrought anxiety and multiplies it by a billion, over both the romances and the situation. An example of this from the demo: the MC asks a simple question as to when something will happen and, when the other person informs them “tonight”, the MC “jumps back in surprise”. Jumps. Because someone said “tonight”. I read it and was like, “What the actual fuck is wrong with the MC??” because that is not a normal reaction to something so innocuous. But then, the MC in this demo is so far away from normal that it makes them feel alien.
The MC needs to be in a psych ward. Or at least go see a doctor over their anxiety, because no one constantly has heart palpitations just because someone fucking breathed around them.
I definitely don’t trust her. But I do think the premise we are given in the opening scene of the demo is really cool. Of course, the premise of b3 (a bounty on the MC) was really cool, too, but it went down the toilet by chapter 3. I suspect the same thing will happen here.
I think this is part of it. She doesn’t get M at all and is just flying by the seat of her pants. As long as she keeps doing that, M will work (for the most part). The problem is when she forces things to happen a certain way because she has it stuck in her head “when” things will happen and refuses to let the characters drive the story.
Also, the MC is a problem, period. It’s gotten so awful that I cant identify with them at all, at times. As I said, they need a psychiatrist. And a freaking cardiac specialist. Nothing can ever be a simple or normal reaction–it has to be extreme and bizarre.
It’s also this one. I found the thing I saw it in, and the vampires start avoiding the MC… because of their blood, I think.
It outweighs everything. My husband said it best, really. He said she’s so determined to force emotions onto the reader via the prose that it ends up distracting from the very thing she intends to do. The prose overshadows everything, at this point.

Because that’s what’s happening. Granted, A has changed the flavor of the mind games, but they’re still playing mind games.
I think one problem is that it feels so forced with A showing up and acting so relaxed. It’s almost like A got their feelings off their chest, told the MC they can’t be with them but love them, and now feels free to act in a way that completely contradicts what they said. In fact, A flat out says it’s too difficult to distance himself. I mean, fine, I get it, but that’s his problem, not the MC’s.
Everything is always swept under the rug. If you notice, the ROs never have to bend their neck–it’s the MC who always has to get over it and accept being jerked around or shit on. Mishka said once that she didn’t want the ROs to have to change–what she apparently meant was that the MC is going to have to bend to the RO’s will and twist themselves in knots to be with them. While the RO goes about their merry way and does whatever they want.
See above. It was the same way in M’s route in early b3. “Oh, you called me a slam pig and I was mad for five minutes, but that’s okay, whatever… I apologized to myself for you!”
Between the way she acted in M’s route in b3, and the way she does with A in the demo, I fucking hate this stupid bitch. She has no sense of minding her own damned business at all. I’m surprised people don’t go there, buy their food, and immediately leave in order to avoid her. She can fuck right the hell off.
It’s overdone, but it will continue. It’s how she drags shit out indefinitely. She is quadrupling down on all the bad things, at this point.
The prose is horrible. It’s more obvious when I read the demo aloud for my husband. It’s exhausting to read it, and completely detracts from being able to get absorbed in the plot and characters.
Having your own flavor of prose isn’t a problem in and of itself, even if it’s 18th century romance author, which seems to be what she’s aiming for. The problem is that there aren’t any instances where the prose doesn’t overshadow what’s being stated. Nothing can ever be a simple, “I walked across the room to greet someone.” Instead, it has to be, “I swerved through a sea of desks, dancing through the office like Snow White dances through the forest, my heart hammering in my chest with excitement over seeing my friends again, the sunlight casting a beautiful titian glow across the entire room and warming my skin as much as the sight of the coffee maker warms my growing heart!”
Also… there is a certain point where it’s time to put the thesaurus away. I know a higher word count means a higher asking price for the game, but every sentence doesn’t need twenty fucking adjectives to describe a wall.

My understanding is that the changes are going to reflect her “style” of writing now. In other words, she’ll probably go back and have this awful, distracting prose in b1 and b2, too.

I believe the monetary part is why we’re getting a single chapter for a demo–to bump up the patreon subs, since it got down to 8k a month before and, after the demo release, it’s back to 10k.
Retirement age in the UK is 67, and she’s in her thirties. I think she’ll finish it by then.
As for people waiting, I’ve said before, this series is aimed towards tweens. So, for every person who walks away because they get fed up with the eternal dragging out of the romances, ten more tweenies will fall in love with it and get off on the “angst”.
I think this is the only way I could play any route but M’s. Torturing N, A, and F might be fun enough to make me play those routes, if we actually had options to be a cunt to them, anyway.

Note that she’s been also rewriting B1, and that the work on B4 wasn’t JUST writing chapter 1. It’s also, IIRC, outlining the book and slimming up code.
Inb4 the end of B7 is psychiatrists discussing the MC’s delusions and the all series was all in their head.

For extra lulz I’ll keep imagining that MC is a child of two fathers from Mecha Ace with their personalities blended together for the worst policewoman and the best mecha pilot ever. Name will be… hm, female version of Ilya and Hawkins as a surname. Illia? Illyana?

I don’t know if anyone watched or remembers, but there was an old episode in Buffy that played with what if nothing Buffy did was real, and she was just insane.
Imagine the same for this game. Waiting 15 years. Counting days, hours. Losing your mind looking at the clock. Soon the story will be dropped. Soon the pain will be over. Mc and Ro will walk into the sunlight. And instead reaching the last page sIKE . iT was a dream after mc had one too many at a bar. The end.

Oh definitely. I also read on Patreon something about A wearing a shirt with some open buttons during a meeting with the MC and I was rolling my eyes so hard. Can we address the freaking elephant in the room, A? Why are you all of a sudden walking around showing skin when we got more pressing matters? Is it how it’s going to be in b4?

My thoughts exactly. Is it supposed to be a reflection of the trauma inflicted by Murphy? Because that’s not how trauma works.
I don’t know who to shape my MCs anymore to fit the narrative, especially my chill and unbothered one. The stuttering and fluttering has reached a weird level in this short demo.
There was this passage in A’s route and I had to put down my phone, take a deep breath and ask myself “what the heck does this mean?”
His knuckles brush against mine and once more send my body into a cacophony of tingles.
A cacophony of tingles?! A cacophony! Wtf!
And this is just one of many examples.
That would be a fitting ending and would explain all the inconsistency.
