So, it is pretty much confirmed that MC’s dad is still alive, right? I hope that when we do get to see him later in the series, he reunites with Rebecca by the end. Unless, of course, something terrible happens in Book 5. Rebecca still loves him, and I believe our dad loves her too, it’s only right that after all these angst, they end up together.

Damn, can you imagine if vampires were the ones to kill her husband, and Rebecca still not only works with but cares for a team of them?
It would go to show what a remarkably strong person she is. Most would hold an irrational hatred.
Also, I didn’t know Rebecca had the MC’s father surname still. Is that information in book one and I didn’t notice?

But no, it’s not something revealed yet in-book.
That said, it certainly makes sense from a Doylian perspective: by having Rebecca retain her husband’s surname, it means there’s no muddying up of the waters with giving her a canonic ethnicity, and instead have her rely on the ethnicity chosen by the player, making it potentially easier for players to imagine her.

The thing with the dad is that we are pretty much in the dark. We really have no idea of what’s the deal with the father. Only thing we know is that Rebecca has his surname and that his influence on the MC is more related to his absence than his presence. So, yeah, it’s all very vague.

Also, if that gif exactly portrays Rebecca’s reaction if she ever saw MC’s father again, it looks like she has tears in her eyes and is about to cry of joy after seeing him again. I may be wrong but I really think they loved each other.
Ugh I really hope the father is still alive! Though my gut says he’s dead
