Well, in book one you have to chose between them already. For example at the end of the book, when you are almost dying, they both come to your aid and you have to choose who your eyes meet…
And in the Love Triangle route, A will try to repress their feelings even more than in their individual route. They really really really don’t want to get between N and MC, but at the ends feelings will force the situation.
And @poison_mara I think you must have missread that text. If there is something that A will never do, is intentionally try to “steal” the MC, like, seriously, that will not happen.
I don’t think A is trying to steal the mc. A and N are like best friends forever, and I think that it pains A that they’re even feeling these feelings when they know N is feeling them too. So this angsty little tsundere keeps them hidden because a) A is a stubborn muffin who doesn’t wanna admit they love the mc and b) they know that N like them self hasn’t felt love in a long time, so the one person that’s made N so happy…A doesn’t want to ruin that for them. But that’s not how feelings work. Regardless of how hard you try, you can’t just shove them away and try to keep them hidden. That’s why A shows mc affection for the shadows and dislikes N being around the mc. I agree that when N finds out about A’s feelings for the mc they’ll be…hurt, but thats why you can decide in different choices who your leaning towards, I don’t think N will be as sad if youre leaning more towards them but…I don’t know-That’s the LT route for ya!
We really don’t know that. The way you are wording it, you make it sound like they are maliciously trying to get them to split. And something that is 100% confirmed is that not A or N will break their friendship over this, and that A will not most definitely try to lure you away from N.
The scene after the fight sound to me pretty trying to lure us away. Totally subjective opinion . Literature and games have different interpretations. Mine is different of yours that’s not making it true or wrong. Due interpretation is subjective.

Reading it again, I really don’t think A is doing anything purposely. It seems like A gets carried away with his feelings and doesn’t think at all. And once he realises, he stormed out. I just really can’t see A trying to take MC from N on purpose.
As I said Matter of interpretation like a good piece of writing it has many interesting interpretation possibles. I don’t think he planned the situation However, That doesn’t change the situation. It is a clear or with me or with him. Who are his best friend and your romance.
Still is just my opinion. I found it very interesting as a plot drama. But one I won’t play myself as is not something I like to role playing
I think that is a very good note to consider. And is kinda what I was trying to say. I don’t think that A plans this things, but they just happen on the heat of the moment.
Reading the 1st game and Book 2 demo, I don’t get any malicious stealing vibes from A. More like they can’t help but want to be around the detective even though they try to keep away.

Dont worry, the mc won’t be coming in between A and N’s relationship, there might be tense feelings between them but those 2 are like conjoined twins lol, the mc who just recently came into their lives means a lot to them, but they’ve known each other for a long time. And yes, if the detectives feelings for A are stronger than those for N, I guess you could say “A took N’s bf/gf”? But I dont think those are the right words? Maybe mc just realized their feelings are stronger for A… And whomever the mc picks, the other will be hurt but… Don’t you think they’ll want the mc to be happy? If mc picks N over A, sure they’ll be super hurt but, they’ll still be happy for N and the mc, and vice versa.
Oh and a synonym for the LT could totally be “shitty situation”
I certainly don’t love that but I respect the author decision and why. Even if In my opinion drop the effect our decision. If you screw up things and harm people should have a negative impact and consequences. Asit seems you could damage characters with zero consequences due everything will be ponies and rainbows anyways. Still just my personal opinion.
