The Wayhaven Chronicles: Book Two (WIP)

I must say this is one of the best series I have ever read now my own personal thought is one of the clothing options is leather jacket with t shirt and cargo pants I always imagine Indiana Jones

Yayyyy, now I get to always have Indiana Jones in the back of my mind when I imagine my mc. I’m extremely happy that you’ve done this…yayyyyyyyy.

Headcanon Detective now uses whip as non-lethal sidearm

That would be pretty badass

Progress Report (Totally forgot to post one here last week, sorry everyone!)

What a week! I’m storming through Chapter 16 waaay faster than expected

I think this has everything to do with just how intensely detailed I’d made the plan, so that’s something I’ve definitely learnt for plans for future books.

I’m actually coming up to an either-or choice set that I’m hoping will give a little drama and angst to the moment, and those are always some of my favourites, so I’m very excited about writing it, hehe!

But yeah, not much more to say other than I am seriously way more ahead than expected! If it continues this well (fingers crossed!), I might get Chapter 16 done by the end of next week!

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend, and I’ll update you again next week!

Will an option to wear a classic detective trench coat be implemented? Asking the real questions.

A typical hat, magnifying glass?

I legit imagine my Detective like Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs:

Such a badass style.

And I wonder if the Detective’s pistol is standard issue or not , I’m nitpicky for little details

I do love me a trench coat, hehe!

And the Detective’s weapon is likely standard issue. I’m not sure what that is, but something plain I expect

Progress Report

The base writing for Chapter 16 is complete!! Yay!

I have to do editing, and there is some rewriting for bits I want to do, but I will be finishing that today and over the weekend.

Next week, I won’t be jumping straight into Chapter 17 (which is also another HUGE chapter to write) as I really need to do some maintenance kinda stuff.

Choicescript recently had an update, and I haven’t actually downloaded it yet. So I need to do that, see if I can get a save system working in it (or poor @spunkycatninja will have an impossible time editing, and readers and beta-testers won’t enjoy that either, hehe!), then do some playtests and bug checking.

I haven’t playtested it since like Chapter 14, when Choicescript got the update, as it was going to take time. So I need to catch up on that badly to check for story flow, consistency, and—of course—bugs!

I’ll probably be starting Chapter 17 next Wednesday or Thursday, but I’m still waaaay ahead of where I thought I’d be

So yeah, a brilliant week of pushing forward, and now onto some maintenance!

Hope you all have an amazing weekend, and I’ll update you all again next week!

I mean, police don’t carry guns here. If we assume the detective doubles as an AFO, it would still depend on where this is set. Standard is Glock 17 usually, but over here in my area they use SIG Sauers.

Most are issued glock 22,21 and 17 out of the academy here state side. But I can’t speak for the rest of the world but the U.S doesn’t enforce keeping those mentioned handguns above. I’ve seen cops, detectives Allike carry anything from 1911 0.45 cal. S.W Revolvers, its just depends where you live here and how strict there Captain/Lt is. But again that’s here state side

Hehe nice word count, and with all this side inspiration you are getting you might break the word-count of Tin Star before you send this lovely piece of art off for final edit.

I wish you continued boundless inspiration and motivation while I eagerly await the continuing saga of Wayhaven.

I live on an airbase, the MPs here usually carry M9s and sometimes M4s. Then again, I guess that’s to be expected from the military.

It’s worth nothing that I’m pretty sure this is set in the UK, and guns are banned here. The only people allowed to have them are those with licences: usually only AFOs (special kind of police), farmers and people with some kind of agricultural tie. Even normal cops don’t carry guns, instead they have tasers. There are no carry laws over here.

It’s not officially set anywhere, I’m trying to find one of the asks where Sera comments on it. Sera herself is British, but the books aren’t going to specify the country its taking place in because she wants players to be able to picture it in whatever country they like.

Although you definitely aren’t the first person I’ve seen comment on the presence of guns in the context of its setting.

I always figured it was somewhere on the East Coast of the USA. But if it’s set in my dear Blighty that’s cool too. :sunglasses: The UK definitely benefits from not being a gun obsessed nation given the last few decades of gun violence in America.

Personally I always knew it was a ‘‘Imagine for yourself where this town is’’ , and I think that’s cool . Cose well…the game is played by so many all over the Globe .

For me…I can see them brownish brick building like we have over Montreal Frontenac but with a small eerie-tiny-town suffocating-boring atmosphere like a village (which is where I live lol) . So you know, you have a small number of townspeoples and you can see the same faces at the only grocery store you get your food from and of course when shit happen…it does the round real quick…cose the place is small

Though I admit, for some reasons . Everytime I read the Mayor…

I keep seeing Sam Booth from Murder She Wrote

I personally imagined it to take place in a setting similar to Longmire, for some reason. The text literally describes fauna that can’t exist in such a region.

I personally see this being set in small English township. Or like the town setting of Pretyy little liers. I believe is somewhere in Maine? Really small town and alot of woods
