Valid point. Two of my MCs are always on the verge of yelling at her, so it fit for them, even if they just made a snide comment and scoffed at her. There’s a lot of scoffing in this series. And chuckling.
MC’s name from here on out should be Chucklefuck.
Anything that gets Rebecca away from the MC is welcome. Can we make her move away and get married to someone?
What meeting? Verda met with those assholes??
I knew there was a reason I liked you… I mean, other than you having good taste and a distaste for angst…
I honestly don’t know how the agency stay “functioning” all these years. They are incompetent. Their agents getting kidnapped left and right and they can barely react.
I get that sin is super rare supernatural or whatever but they sit around in the chamber all day and do what exactly?
I’m kind of curious why she didn’t go down this path with A, actually, with them being the oldest, the age gap thing could have worked in that scenario and been interesting. Have A be the weary vampire who has seen and lost enough over the centuries and doesn’t want a relationship with the MC because they are mortal…but then they suddenly come to start to believe in love again. As it currently is, I’m kind of not sure what A’s issue is yet.
there are auctions (plural), with huge crowds attending, where supernaturals are being sold
but they sit around in the chamber all day and do what exactly
Oh right, I forgot, they didn’t get an invitation before so they couldn’t go and stop it, that would have been rude.
They honestly shouldn’t be struggling so hard to find the mole. They’ve had so many leaks already. Just round up the group of people who had access to all the information leaked. I doubt they advertised MC’s blood test results to everyone in the agency. Few people should’ve had access to it.
Okay but that would actually make me kinda like her so I don’t think it’ll happen XD
The usual cause of this is that you’re someone possessed of incredible bad taste, just like @E_RedMark
We’ll attend a loner’s retreat, where the houses are 1 mile away from each other and solicitors are shot on sight… by missile platforms.
There’s actually 17.6 mole saboteurs in that facility alone, but the Agency survives because they keep sabotaging each other. Wayhaven was slapstick all along.
I think it’s more that the author doesn’t particularly care what the character does, so it gets to do whatever it wants. Like the Detective.
M: “Do you mean the Detective ALSO gets to do whatever they want, or that I get to do the Detective?”
Yes.
M: “Heh.”
I think I have a theory of why we gonna have 7 books: every book has one of the 7 deadly sins as the main theme. They are (1) vainglory, or pride, (2) greed, or covetousness, (3) lust, or inordinate or illicit sexual desire, (4) envy, (5) gluttony, which is usually understood to include drunkenness, (6) wrath, or anger, and (7) sloth.
It could be applied to villains, Falk was prideful, Avir greedy, Murphy… glute? Hm. So next books could be about lust, envy, sloth, and wrath.
I hopped on steam to continue my playthrough from where I left off after writing a bit, and ran into a very out of left field recommendation on the front page. I am outright conveinced that steam thinks every IF is just porn.
That would be a pretty good read. But i don’t think author will go that route. It’s clear author pushes the plot back for romance. While dragging that romance as much as she can.
Only romance path progresses is M’s, for now. I’m pretty sure she will undo that in the 4th book.
