The Wayhaven Chronicles: Book Three (WIP -FINAL DEMO)

In b2, I got the distinct impression that the reason M suddenly decided they couldn’t wait any longer for sex with the MC was because of Bobby (at least in that route). That overly loud scoff was their way of showing jealousy, and the others seemed to catch onto it. Granted, my M-mancer didn’t really notice it as being anything, but I think it was supposed to be.

In the demo, yeah, M was clearly pissed off about the pet name. And was instinctively trying to show Bobby that the MC was with them when they told them not to use that name anymore, then threw their arm around the MC. Even my MC caught onto that.

I’m hoping we get more of that from M, in front of the MC. I’d like some clear signs for the most clueless of MCs–or the ones that are afraid to believe it–that M cares.

For A… I don’t know. I agree that the table breaking was obvious, but at the square, A seemed overly controlled about the whole ordeal. I want something to happen to make A snap. And my A-mancer won’t mind a pile of broken furniture to clean up, lol.

The only one I got it with was Z (A-mancer), because she tries to give Bobby the benefit of the doubt, despite knowing better. So she invited him in and kind of froze when he went in for a kiss (like a “there’s no way he would actually… oh hell, he did…” reaction). She wasn’t too pleased with him after that, but she got over it quickly. She gets over everything quickly!

Yeah … I just can’t stand Bobby that way … They are fun to mess with the Ro’s … but still want to just use the MC for their benefit

Hey as long as our beloved car is out of the range I’m all for it … It’s literally the last personal item that can be destroyed (what with our apartment being flooded and all) and I won’t have it taken away.

OMG, my M-mancer wants to burn that piece of crap car to ash!

My N-mancer hates it, too. The other two don’t care one way or the other.

Well the agency didn’t offer one of their SUV’s … A won’t let go of their’s … M is a reckless driver … F doesn’t know much about driving … AND N DOESN’T EVEN DRIVE !!! … So yeah forgive me if I’m a little clingy of my crappy little car :sweat_smile:

N,(A),F,(T),A…? :joy:

sheesh, go grab some food and come back to a flood lol

I always pick bobby because let’s face it: She is fun.

Unlike the kid…she is fun.

Douglas route—my MCs nearly all have Bobby as an ex, and none of them would like to see Bobby again outside of a professional atmosphere. They also went to the bar needing a break/wishing to get their fingers on Wayhaven’s pulse not knowing what would happen (and neither did I on the first playthrough). That and I like mentorship routes whenever they are possible.

Hey, you stole my order. Isn’t that illegal? (tho mine has LT tacked on at the end)

I don’t even remember where my various characters ended up on the Bobby/Douglas/Verda/Tina spectrums, I think they’re all over the place (except I’ve got no Bobby-the-ex, not interested). As far as I remember, I prevented Tina/Verda from twigging to the supernatural on all playthroughs, so I assume I’m not getting the awkward dinner date scene folks keep talking about.

Wow…seriously? Me? I’m DYING to drag Ava to dinner with Tina

I agree that Bobby is more fun … but Douglass has his moments sometimes … Like when he tried dressing like our Li in book 2 to swoon us :joy::joy::joy: … man I still burst out laughing everytime F asks us why He’s dressed like A … I think we should be thankful he didn’t complete it with their signature avatar glasses .

I like choosing Douglas’ route because his character growth is genuinely impressive whether you’re a crush or a mentor. And I feel like the “hidden counter” for how much either B or Douglas like our Detective is eventually going to lead to a rescue mission where we will have to choose our LI, our original target like Sonja(?) or B/Douglas. And I would always let B die because they’re a blight— whereas Douglas is a little baby bird who needs tlc.

Plus seeing the son of our ass-kissing Mayor take the side of my Captain-loving Detective is bound to ensue hilarity.

I doubt you can let bobby die…

wouldn’t that be weird?

I let Sonya die (I think that was her name right?) But personally I could never purposefully let Bobby or Douglas die. I actually really like Bobby as a person when you aren’t on his route. And even when you are on his route, I think he is fun to love to hate.

Would I let Agency people die though? Maybe… Its just I feel protective for the people who are unaware of the danger. Agency people, or creepy fortune tellers kinda are consenting to possible death by choosing to be involved.

You assume correctly. You can join the ranks of my M- and A-mancers, because they kept Tina and Verda from learning about supernaturals, too.

Sera said the “no one learns” route is good, too, and there’s still a moment at the end with the RO. So the ones on the other path may be able to get closer to the RO quicker and be with them more, but we still get something. And I’m sure friends night out should be fun.

I actually agree with this. I do have a Douglas run with my M-Mancer (that took forcing her out of the office and to a bar, and making sure M wasn’t the one to approach her when getting drinks, lol), and she actually starts looking at him like a little brother (and threatened Bobby, telling him to stay away from the kid). It would probably do her good on that route, but the Bobby route will still be the “canon” route for her (as long as M shows keeps showing he’s bothered by it).

Another plus. My M-mancer hates the mayor, but is starting to warm up to the captain a bit when he’s not pissing her off. By the end of the demo, I think she had like 6 or 7 points with him, lol.

I don’t think any of my MCs could, either, even the one that thinks she’s like to run Bobby down with Adam’s SUV. She’d save him and glare at him when it was done.

I wonder… I know there’s the Tina/Verda/no one route for learning about supernaturals. Do you guys think that maybe Bobby or Douglas will learn, too, on their respective routes?

My theory is Bobby already knows, he is just trying to get concrete proof. I do think Douglas will learn on his route (but not when you aren’t on his route). Mostly because that seems to be his character arc, where he kinda becomes a protege for the MC and either toughens up to deal with the monsters, or is mentored in combat/deduction/people/science (whatever the MC is good at) and kinda becomes the MC’s trusted assistant at dealing with the supernatural threat.

I have three playthroughs and I definitely save the best for last so for me it’s, F, M and than the LT leaning towards A I like A in the love triangle more than on their own at least there the whole ‘stay away! No don’t!’ thing makes more sense cause cause A legit cares about N and honestly thinks N is the better choice I kinda just want to give A a hug sometimes in the LT when A’s on their own it’s more annoying.

Eh, not for me. Sure you won’t be able to kill any of the main characters off (at least like you I highly doubt so) but that doesn’t mean I can’t leave B to be saved by a third-party or sheer luck when the time comes to dig the very nosey reporter out of Supernatural Business when I’m on their route.

B signed off on my Detective caring about their welfare when I found out that as their boyfriend B stole my MC’s essays and forged them as their own in university. That’s stinky behaviour! No way am I going to save that when I’m already emotionally bashed enough by A’s route. Lol.

Not enough masochi… I mean, LT-lovers here! My first playthrough will be my favourite LT route, as usual (with Bobby ex-lover path, and no one knows about supernaturals path).

I finally read through both books for the first time today for this series. I’m wondering are all the RO path as slow burning as Nat? I finished book 2 and the MC and Nat are just now officially dating. Is this for every RO or just her?

no, I mean in the context of the story. It be weird to kill Bobby when they are part of choices that went from point 1 to 2 to 3.

Sonja only show up briefly to hold that Salamandre hand and cure his butthurt.

In the grand scheme of things, Sonja isn’t important and you could easily forget whats her name.

Bobby on the other hand is part of the MC past. The little the MC had…

I have a hard time seeing Sera just get her killed…willy nilly like that.

I don’t want bobby to die, I want my ex-to-be-bridesmaid-so-my-mc-can do that this face at her :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
