I have been proved wrong, I believe.
Here are two screenshots of the code that would, indeed, clarify that it is A’s blood the detective gathers, not Murphy’s.

Indeed, so it seems.
Not really that surprising though, since mixing their blood with that of the to-be-vampire is only one of the requirements for turning them. However, I am not so certain anymore, not after my blunder from just a few moments ago… Let us dive once more into the code.

Doing another playthrough atm, and this scene made me recall why I love F so much:
“You possess—what we can only guess for now—some sort of evolved hormone or mutation,” Nate explains. “It renders you immune to a vampire’s pheromone abilities.”
Farah scoffs. “Yeah, we can’t even use ours on you.” She quickly snaps up her hands in defence when Rebecca arches a brow in her direction. “Not that we would have tried!”

I wouldn’t doubt that it was well written based from the reaction it got from those who went through it.
The one thing that I don’t like about the love triangle situation is because you have to choose one over the another at the expense of hurting the unchosen one’s feelings.

Yeah, odds are on my first “run-through” of Book Two will still be with the Love Triangle, but once I finish that (while waiting for the next book), I’ll try single RO routes. 
Oh, and funny thing - my troubled, hot-and-cold MCs can’t apprehend Murphy, but my shy, kind MCs can! 
Wonder why that is…? lol
Probably because your first MC didn’t played to their strengths while your second one knows when to use their strength. =P
