Oh, that’s a good one!
Here’s mine

Detective Deuce
  1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Depends on the weather. If it’s too hot or too cold outside - then indefinitely. Otherwise not too long, he’d find something to tinker with pretty quickly.

  1. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Oh, it’s pretty damn easy  However, my MC’s humor is rather specific/weird and only select few poor souls who know him for some time can understand and appreciate it. Others will usually join in too, but that has to do with how contagious MCs hyena laughter is and how nonsensical the reasons for it are.

  1. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

For him the biggest trouble is not falling asleep, but getting up in time :^)

  1. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Uhm, the average, I’d say. “Don’t lie and try not to stab me in the back and we’re gonna be good” kind of thing.

  1. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

For the first time, he’d let it pass, but if lies are constant and systematic, then you can wave bye-bye. Getting trust back is pretty much impossible.

  1. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Detective, while typing his report, that involved shots fired against a group of strangers (yeah, that one):

Weeell, if you approach the situation from this angle and bend it just a tiiiny bit here…
‘Suspects could have been were armed. Upon receiving multiple verbal warnings, they refused to comply. One of them reached behind the back, yelling ‘Eat lead, pig!’ and I fired’. Yeap, good, good. Then I’d say the use of deadly force was totally justified."
A distant shout comes from the lab: “Detective! You should absolutely not fabricate any falsehoods in your report!”
“How did he…-Just shut up and drink your coffee, Soloman!

  1. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

Seeing an important place from the past usually brings a memory influx, like a blast.

  1. What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?

To finally listen to parents and stop being a little yob. Didn’t help much.

  1. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?

Rarely, when in especially foul mood or when an important point needs to be made.

  1. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?

Probably “Did you break this/spill that/set fire over there?”. And no, not really

  1. How do they cope with confusion?

Ask/look for clarification. If situation doesn’t allow that - get angry.

  1. How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?

Use surrounding objects as tools? I don’t know

  1. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Black/gray for formal wear or flashy colorful for casual. Main thing for detective is that clothes should be comfy first.

  1. What animal do they fear most?

I didn’t know what to write here, so I’ll go with my own phobia - large giant centipedes. Just urgh.

  1. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Always bluntly with no rehearsal, unless it’s a public speech.

  1. What makes their stomach turn?

Cold coffee and mutilated bodies. A tight feeling in chest when loved ones are suffering.

  1. Are they easily embarrassed?

Not really, not with the usual stuff. But when they do get to that point, it’s bloody hilarious

  1. What embarrasses them?

Making dumb newb mistakes in the field they’re supposed to be relatively good at.

  1. What is their favorite number?

42

  1. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

To a kid: “Go find and ask a responsible adult this one”
To everyone else: “Is this a trick question? fervently thinks to himself A puzzle, I bet! What’s there beside sex???”

  1. Why do they get up in the morning?

To continue serving and thus helping the people of a little town called Wayhaven. And he mostly believes in his duty too!

  1. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?

He becomes overly sarcastic and salty, thinking up of borderline overkill ways to obliterate the reason why he’s jealous.

  1. How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

Deep inside, I’d say it’s loathing. Both towards that someone/something and for himself, for feeling it in the first place.

  1. Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

Comfortable enough to touch on the subject when chatting with familiar faces, but not to the point of indepth discussions Tommy Wiseau style

  1. What are their thoughts on marriage?

I’ll skip this one. My recent IRL entanglements don’t really leave room for an unbiased answer from chars PoV.

  1. What is their preferred mode of transportation?

I’d say a car. Now, when looking at driving as a weekend hobby - then motorbikes.

  1. What causes them to feel dread?

Inability (or sense of one) to do anything when faced with a serious problem. Feeling of helplessness.

  1. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?

If it’s with someone he has very strong attachment to - then yes, he’d lie. For colleagues/pals/strangers the latter.

  1. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

No. Though he just loves to think how good of a person he is, just by thinking of doing something good

  1. Who do they most regret meeting?

That one sodding agent from insurance company. Oh if he just knew of that world of hurt he was about to discover.

  1. Who are they the most glad to have met?

One of his best mates, no doubt. Those are rare and always in demand.

  1. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

Yeah, something hilariously stupid, I’d wager, that not a lot of folks will understand in the end.

  1. Could they be considered lazy?

Oh, yes. The two go hand in hand.

  1. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?

It’s really hard, impossible even. Because he feels guilt when betraying close ones or getting someone killed.

  1. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

Yeah, pretty supportive, although if it’s about something he has little knowledge or interest about (which is 95% of the time), then he won’t show much enthusiasm.

  1. Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?

The former.

  1. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?

No. Add to that a generally shitty name memory and you get another embarrasing fact about my detective. Huh, forgot about it :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. What memory do they revisit the most often?

Hmm, something from childhood/youth. “Back when grass was greener and light was brighter etc”

  1. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

If people don’t parade them - pretty damn easy.

  1. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?

Very sensitive deep inside, to a point of blowing up in the face of that someone who managed to push the buttons just in the right order.

  1. How do they feel about children?

Cute little buggers, best kept at distance %)

  1. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?

There’s no strict goal per se, but a whole ever changing process of keeping the wayhaven community safe. How far will he go to reach it? That’s an interesting question.

  1. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

“We like each other, so let’s bang, okay?”
???

I honestly don’t know what to write there lol

I think that’s about everything.

The other questionnaire I won’t touch, because of my method of creation (Sauron and all that stuff, hehe) and it’d mostly be like:
Q: Where does X or Y come from?
A: From fiery pits of hell
Q: Are you proud of your creation?
A: I refuse to answer that loaded question.

D’awww, shucks!!! It must be all the sugar she ingests in place of vegetables and vitamins and honestly she should be dead by now.

I mean, her first swear word was at twelve. That’s so damn precious.

my…first swear was when I was twelve… :no_mouth:

I mean…technically, I guess it was earlier…but I didn’t know it was a swear???
But I just thought ‘shit’ was a faster way of saying ‘shoot’ and little ten year-old me didn’t know why she was getting detention!! :sob:
So yeah, no, that part…that part is, erm, autobiographical.

How will she keep that adorable innocence through all seven books?

Well, with Nate I’m sure it’ll be easy because I’m sure he’d appreciate her sweetness and innocence too, and do all he can to maintain that.

Morgan on the other hand…

My MC wants to wrap her in a blanket and protect her like a big sister from all the evils of the world.

!!!
Charlotte would love having a big sister like that!!!

ooowee, I just spent the last five hours doing chemistry homework, and now I gotta hit the hay.
I’ve actually been reading everyone’s answers to the questions and I’ll be responding to them after my chem midterm this afternoon, when my spring break officially starts, wooooo! Gonna spend all of it on the computer, lol

Good night/morning (it’s 5am here, lol) everyone!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Mephala is ready to answer these questions. This one is not too serious. And I am too tired to do the creator ones, some other day perhaps.

Questions

1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?
Mephala could stay doing nothing for years. That is what she is trying to achieve as a detective.

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?
Depends on the used humour.
Silly falling [check]
Sex jokes [check]
Poop jokes [check]
offensive humour[check]
Normal humour I guess, it’s empty.

3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)
After a day of doing nothing and wasting time on dating, she falls asleep in 10 sec max.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?
She knows that people often have hidden motives. She had one.
I’d say mostly hard, but depends how a person presents themself, for example, N would have to try very hard.

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
Quite hard too, she has made mistakes, and she knows that she has changed.

6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?
"Wow, laws exist? I thought they are like unicorns - ideal but not real. "

7. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?
Sea triggers nostalgia for Mephala, but she doesn’t know why and hates that feeling. Making her smile wistfully.

8. What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?
“Stop [Oh no, somebody swore] swallowing razors! Do you want to die?” Mephala slowly swallows a plastic fork

9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?
Something is wrong if she doesn’t say ‘fuck’ at least 20 times a day. She learned from the razor incident. “I fucking eating razors.” is the first time at the age of 3, that is her first memory too.

10. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?
“I am working very hard, I can’t talk.”
She still uses it.

11. How do they cope with confusion?
She gets very irritated. Probably shatters a mug or two.

12. How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?
Probably hump a tree or something. She has very long arms, can’t imagine her not reaching somewhere. Edit. She is about 192 cm tall, there is nothing she can’t reach even the highest cookie. Another edit. I miswrote, she is 182 cm, only my sister(189cm) can be a giant.

13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?
Shades of blue or red, Aqua and fiery red. She knows, because Mephala always looks good.

14. What animal do they fear most?
I think, she fears cats, those demons are ready to rip her soul to shreds like toilet paper.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?
She speaks what she wants, often the wrong thing in the wrong place. Even more so, when she speaks to authority.

16. What makes their stomach turn?
Nothing at all my good mateys.

17. Are they easily embarrassed?
Mephala and embarrassed, Ha! She embarrasses others. She would never be embarrassed.

18. What embarrasses them?
She is the picture of confidence! Well, I guess, she was embarrassed one time, when she beat up schools popular girls. Mom was disappointed.

19. What is their favorite number?
9 is the saviour of the world. Now, where are the 6 lovers?

20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?
“I wouldn’t know what is romantic love, not really my cup of tea, but platonic is friends, who like each other a bit more, and familial, huh, don’t know that one too.”

21. Why do they get up in the morning?
Another day to go back home.

22. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?
She wouldn’t be jealous in a relationship, because she knows that she was chosen not the one, who wraps their arms around her sputnik. And right now her love turns around and introduces Mephala.

23. How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?
She convinces herself that feelings don’t make sense, she has something that others don’t - positive mental attitude.

24. Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?
She could talk in great detail about sex to anyone just to make them uncomfortable.

25. What are their thoughts on marriage?
Unnecessary chain with not enough benefits. She feels that only desperate people, who are afraid of losing someone, will marry.

26. What is their preferred mode of transportation?
Her cute car.

27. What causes them to feel dread?
Physically hurting someone who is not that bad. She loses her temper very quickly, so this has high chance of happening.

28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
Depends, sometimes you are not in the state to take the truth, sometimes it helps, but if it concerns a serious topic and it is a lie… That is the situation, where she might hurt someone.

29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?
Her principles and ideals are just like laws, in theory exists, but she doesn’t know them.

30. Who do they most regret meeting?
She really dislikes her mom, she tries to forgive, but it is very hard for her. Everyone else is good.

31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
That one wife from the past, without her Mephala wouldn’t have realised a lot of things.

32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?
“Let me tell you a funny story! There was this one time when I was a mistress of a wealthy man, and then I shot his wife! Ha! So funny, right?”

33. Could they be considered lazy?
She is so lazy that she can’t be described as lazy.

34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?
She won’t show herself feeling guilty, but deep down in icy caverns of the heart the guilt always stays.

35. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?
As supportive as a shredded soul could be (Bluntly says that she doesn’t care). The more excited a person is the more she wants to die from poisoning.

36. Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?
She can’t tolerate romance, it makes her stomach turn and curl(Aha! There is something!). But there are other kinds of relationships she seeks

37. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?
Her memory is like the Scroll of Truth. Once she finds the information, she realises that it is too hard to remember and tosses the scroll far away. Now she is asking Tina for her name.

38. What memory do they revisit the most often?
The same razor one. She probably wants to swallow it again, likes hospitals, I guess. But at the very least she is good at swallowing.

39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?
As long as they have cool humour(check the list), she don’t care. It is not like she is a diamond. Maybe she is.

40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?
She doesn’t care again. She feels that flaws make a person more real.

41. How do they feel about children?
Demonspawn of hell, together with cats they want to vomit all over her soul. Soon they will come, the mortal enemies. Mephala is already practising her gaze of death, so the kids quiver before her.
She would rather marry than have kids. She would rather take part in romantic acts.
You can say, she strongly dislikes children, but sadly neighbour to the right has 6 of them. Mephala prays every night to the god NOKIDS and uses protection (of course).

42. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?
You mean the one where she gets 251 sneks? Don’t worry she’s getting there, she’s just afraid that the sneks may die.

43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?
kisses any stranger Stranger says she cutie kicks the stranger walks away
I’d say that’s accurate.

By the way, I have converted to Mason, and I spent about 5 hours writing this with a virtual keyboard, with a mouse

I just finished Book 1 - and i´ve got to say it was quiet the amazing ride! I love how you gave us the perspective not just from the MC but also from our buddys, that made me really care about these guys/girls and made them in my opinion feel like actual characters

SPOILER Question

So the MC`s Blood basically makes any supernatural op as hell for a certein amout of time depending on how much blood was used right? So could we potentially use our blood in bloodbags(or something like that) for our team? Like a “safety pill” of sorts?

Hi!

You could blur that paragraph by highlighting the paragraph in question and going to your gear icon. There will be an option to blur spoilers. =D

P.S. You could also edit your post to correct or blur them. You just need to click the pencil icon of your post.

In regards to your question it is possible. The Agency might created something like once they discovered the MC’s blood potential. But I doubt if UB would used them since they have bonded with MC afterall.

It is pretty much energy drink for supernaturals and i guess mc could have small vials as emirgancy but they could always get into wrong hands
Also prologued usage possibly has unwanted drawbacks you know little by little became more and more

Please put spoiler tags as well. =) We don’t want to spoil new players.
