If you’re already missing shots with a longbow up to the point that they reach close range, you do deserve to die.

my fingers are getting tired so lets say depends on how good u are with a sword or bow and arrow and spear

Nay. 'Tis rather simple.
Spear > Two Handed Long Weapons > Axes > Swords.
I don’t include ranged weapons because that purely depends on the distance and the type of the bow/arrow.
Just kidding. I am no real medieval warrior. This is my opinion based on my research.

I thought @MahatmaDagon is releasing a new update…

Turns out everyone is just discussing Sword vs Spear

I remember that with the kings letter you could send half of what he asked or not do it at all with the deal with king’s letter option but now it not there, I see the game got updated so was that feature taken out or what.

I think someone already replied to that, but if you removed him from the City Watch, Hurlen becomes “Hurlen the Hero” and is mentioned as leading the rebel army during the second stance of the “revolt event”, which happens every time you spend more than one month with the treasury in the negative(although Civil Unrest impacts it as well).

It will be added to your Armory once he is defeated.(i still need to code that) I have a few ideas about the weapon and what kind of stuff you can do with it, but it is likely I will just leave it for the next game.

My instinct when I read your post was just to add it, but as I looked at the other colors I started having second thoughts. They all look very basic, wouldn’t “gold” sound a little weird with them?

I think it would work if I were to add more “non-basic” colors along with gold, so it wouldn’t be the only one standing out. Any ideas?

Thanks. Space and time continuum should be fixed by now.

Its not exactly a system, but I have planned since the beginning to make the “your lands” part of the map change according to the actual size of your province, although it would be only one or two variances at most here. (In Highlands, Deep Waters I had lots of fun making a wide variety of maps according to the MC’s sanity and some other factors)

I lost my previous notebook hard drive, and the original map image with it. I’ll still make a new version of it that will reflect the political change, it’ll just take a while longer than I planned.

That describes about half of the stuff I put into my games :joy:

Its definitely not randomized, but there are circumstances spread across the game in which, if you lack Combat, have low Morale or simply make the wrong decision, people will die.

And then comes the final battle. I can’t say for sure if everyone dies in all possible interactions of it, but it sure sounds that way at the moment. I don’t like to set things on stone, so I might add a way to save a few people there, if there isn’t one already.

It is still there, you just need to talk to your conselours about the matter before being able the see the choice.

I have a small question for people who have met Kenrir while hunting “something wicked” in the Thornwoods and have witnessed the exchange between King Vytheo and his First Knight, just before talking to Hellen of the Streams for the first time.

Did you guys realize that Kenrir’s grandfather is the knight who left Vytheo’s service? I’m not sure if I gave enough clues about it.

The reason why I am asking this is because I want to know if people have also understood that this is precisely why Kenrir is so adamant about destroying the body of the Abyssal Spawn. It is not only that he is against “unnatural” things. He was raised by his grandfather, and his grandfather was a man who served a “mad king” who wanted to use “dark powers” for a “greater good”. Which is more or less what you might be trying to do, depending on what justification you give him for wanting to get the body.

Kenrir’s motivations are simple: He had been warned his whole life about shit like that, and he doesn’t want it to happen. That’s why he might try to drug/kill/betray you to ensure that you don’t take the body is destroyed.

Uhm… maybe changed the way the colour was described so all of them stand out, not only gold? Like:
Question
And what are the the colours of your House Coat of Arms?

Choices
Red : The striking colours of the Crimson Blood, depiction of your family Bravery and Power
Blue : The calming colours of the Night Sky, Symbol of Peace and Prestiege of your lineage
Gold : The shining colours of Golden Amber, depiction of Glory and Deed your family is known for

And stuff like that.

Uhm…no
Maybe it just me too much skipping and ignoring, or that it wasn’t obvious enough.
So… who are his father then?

I like the vibe you’re going for there, but I don’t think it could work here.

I mostly keep the colors simple because I have different uses for them in the game, and I want the color to fit all of them.

Like, sometimes there’s some prophecy which might make a reference to the color of your coat of arms, and I want it to be subtle. You might not notice the “coming of a red star that breaks the veil of night”, but you will certainly notice “the coming of a crimson blood star that breaks the veil of night”. (although it does sound better)

Or maybe your spouse might be wearing a piece of cloth the color of your house, to show her/his appreciation. It could be strange if it weren’t a basic one, or at least a one-word one.

There are also references to the color of knights or troops capes, banners, etc. The game even takes into consideration what happens if your color is Blue when you fight the Sielccian troops(which also wear blue).

Also, about Kenrir’s father, it isn’t mentioned. He was raised by his Grandfather. (I’ll edit the original post to explain why I’m asking it)

EDIT: Nevermind, my mistake. I didn’t see the color names right next to the descriptive texts of them. It makes sense now.

I honestly did not get that, at all. I just ended up not going back to his camp after beating the beast to avoid losing its body.

I have a suggestion about the color thing.
Maybe u could have simple colors like white, black, gold, and silver to be the actual color of the animal/symbol
While u have the basic colors (green, blue, red, black, white, orange, etc) be the color of the background of the banner and the main color of your house and in prophecies and stuff

This way it resembles an actual flag (not just one color)

For example: (from game of thrones)

A gold Leviathan with a black background
Black is the main color

Just a suggestion

Or it could be the other way around with basic colors (red, blue, white, black, etc) representing the animal/symbol and the main color of the house and prophecy and the background color be a simple, plain color (silver, gold, white, black)

download%20(2)
Same example but this type yellow/gold is the main color

Not at first. But with enough pieces of puzzel in hand I figured it out. The clues have been sprinkled nicely throughout the game & it’s quite rewarding to work out puzzles without any help.

Suggestion:

@mahatmadagon Kenrir is not mentioned in the siege scenes.
If he were to lead a raid on enemy camp in the middle of the night with “20 Good men” & burn down enemy’s food supplies & tents etc that could lead to significant decrease to their morale & thus their ability to fight.

Along with all the devious stuff you could pull this would fit rather nicely with it.

And yes! It would be nice for a high Comabt MC to be able to save some of his friends (I would go with Sister Myra) instead of having all of them dying.

It did cross my mind briefly, but I thought it to be one of my ridiculous conspiracy theories…
