Which gate are we talking about are we talking about the one where the door to another world opened and the Invaders from the other world get clapped by the Japanese military or are we talking about another anime

That’s GATE, look up New Gate, it’s pretty cool. They were right about most of the plot, except he didn’t die the first or second time, he simply finished the mission and instead of being sent home he woke up 500 years in the future.

Either way the point is the world keep on going despite protagonist/author absence.
I elected to play a non-Japanese character and I was wondering if we could have more customisation and interactions based on that aspect of our character. For instance, being able to choose where we’re from and have characters comment on this or have some special interactions with them. An example of this would be when talking to Ellen, if we’re from the UK, America, or any other Anglophone country we could converse in English when we’re together, address each other differently than other characters (E.g just use our first names) and, if, we were from the UK even have some sort of brief sense of camaraderie. Another example could be with dialogue like with Usui when you ask her where she lives, she knows that you’re not from around here due to your accent or looks.

I actually specifically envisioned my character as English, so it would be cool to to say that to her.
Although, unless I’m wrong, we don’t have any memory of our background, so we wouldn’t know if we are from a specific ethnicity or country, beyond name and appearance?

Yeah MC have memory hole as to who MC parents and their past, they doesn’t remember much prior to awakening.
That’s how I remember it.

Technically, I think it’s not that the MC doesn’t remember, it’s that there’s nothing to remember. It’s the first episode of the anime after all, so it seems likely the MC just popped into existence like everyone else in universe, they’re just the only one aware of it.

I don’t know why i think the game also need representatives from Chinese culture maybe because recently i remember asterisk war and remembering most of the time there always girls with double hairbun but yeah just my weird thought
Other than that i just hope the game will be really long because i think this kind of story need really game to tell or it can’t maximize the potential and reaching the game goal to tell the story it want to tell

I’m going to assume you are talking about some sort of cheat menu, like from War for the West. In which case yes there is going to be a cheat menu or at least that is something that he plans on adding in the game. He already has part of it made in the public demo where you can see the various relationship stats for the characters and he plans on expanding this in the future.
The easier difficulty modes as you have said aren’t cheats, they are just there so you can play the game at the difficulty you want, as I said earlier he does plan on adding actual cheats into the game.
