It is true we don’t have any memory or background yet we start with a character design which would incorporate an accent or ethnicity (the latter already being kinda included as we get to choose between having a “Japanese face” or a “Non-Japanese face”).
wait now that I think about it what’s gonna happen to the place we were living in before? do we even have parents? are we orphans?? if we don’t do good in school do we just get kicked out??
Because the demo short it is hard to really pin point what i feel about the character but yeah the story and i can’t really make my mind what i feel the world in the game
Author also hinting there wil be jobs and money making not so sure about what’s this will be probably like management sim when reaching certain trigger or time limit the story will continue.
I wonder how hard extreme mage mode will be. like do we just get less exp overall? are our skills significantly dampened? if team work is important when fighting in the dungeons, then will it be harder to raise your relationship with potential allies?
will there be optional or mandatory chances to show off your skills to an ally while you’re hanging out for a relationship boost? in that case, are you nearly guaranteed to end up forever alone?
so many questions…
He said at some point that he wants the game to be like a persona game in terms of the management aspect
Probably less exp gain, less money from job, more enemy HP, relationship probably unchanged just harder grind overall.
So limitless potential with long time management
The word probably expansive not limitless because as far as class revealed MC can only pick secondary class that close to MC original class not the opposite, to learn sub class ability also take longer time, I suppose like subclass get lower exp.
You’re right about long time management, author stated that this story will cover entire year, even hinting that the finale will be one year due to that system announcement.
I mean god mode could probably give us more opportunities to get 1 or 2 more sub classes
What god mode?
Dark Souls, that’s how hard it is at least in the current state of the demo. There are going to be more ways to level up and get stronger but for now I suggest you don’t pick that option since just a slight gust of wind could kill your MC.
As for how difficulty affects the game well when you select a difficulty you can see how it would affect the game so to just give a small rundown:
God mode: Massive decrease in damage taken, Massive increase in damage dealt and money earned
Easy mode: Is the same as above but the boosts are halved
Normal: No changes
Hard: Increase in damage taken and decrease in damage dealt
Extreme: Same as hard but the debuffs are doubled
God mode is a difficulty setting coming in the next update and one of the difficulty settings that dictate how hard the combat will be.
Man, I do love feeling like a Protag and be God-like, but the feeling of being an underdog and rising through it all is appealing aswell~
Well I like godlike power as well but I like to start as underdog.
It’s either struggle to the top or watch the main character get cooked only just to come in and one shot the every enemy
It’s hard to say the early access is good or not because it’s too short without giving the example how you write the fight scene i think because of that it’s hard to find the good and the bad of this early access
In the patreon can you pick god mode and still purposely fail a task or back out of a fight to like not show the mc true power?
Well as of now difficulty only changes how hard combat is. So I can’t say whether or nor God Mode would make it harder to fail a task or stat check in the story later on, as for fights they are only present in the random dungeons as of right now and in those fights you can run away but I doubt that would be an option in scripted fights where you are fighting someone for story reasons, that is unless you just stand there menacingly throughout the entire fight.
Though I guess since God Mode makes fights significantly easier then you could just farm levels and increase your stats dramatically in a very short span of time, thus making it easier to pass stat checks/tasks.
Wait at some point if we get extremely strong earlier or we pick god mode would one of the characters who uses the same magic ask us to train them? Since someone like us who has no Rich or influential background or talent that has been talked about they would think their should be a training method for somebody like us and could help them grow strong which would be an interesting side story
I think I remember somewhere that MC can lose despite having high stats if player pick wrong option or pick option that will allow other side to win.
Well if MC know MC gonna get stabbed by picking not move out of the way obviously MC will get stabbed.
