@MissRagdoll It might also be a browser issue, depending on which one you’re using. Apparently, the latest Firefox update did some security upgrades that borked some ChoiceScript things. There’s a thread on it somewhere around here, but I can’t find it right now.

OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS I AM USING FIREFOX, UGH. kay, good thing you suggested that @Hannya bc i was just like, two more attempts away from flinging this computer and myself off the window after deleting cookies and closing and restarting everything. lets see if I can find that thread, thank you so much yall.

Cause I don’t understand why it’s cutting off for you, and I can’t replicate it… I need more info…

after this I found that any option except for the first one
“why are you being so kind to me?”
leads to the game to be stuck after the choice to fight the sirens or hide behind morkay and strassa. I’ve tried again, and this is the only thing that works.
it’s: any other choice but “why are you being so kind to me?”
my exact choices have been:
“You’ve been so gracious toward me, and I appreciate it, I really do. But I need to know the reason behind the courtesy.” You don’t want to get on his bad side, but you deserve to know at least this much.
“You feel a vague sensation crawling up your spine, like the feet of a thousand moving ants. You should leave.”
“There! Beneath the surface of the water! A glimmer of light, there and then gone again. A scale!”
“The sirens are here! We must tie ourselves down before they start singing!”
“Hide behind Morkai and Straasa!”
So only if you choose “why are you being so kind to me?” it loads? It doesn’t load with the other options?

I honestly can’t replicate it, everything loads for me. I’m going to upload the file again, see if that makes a difference.

Oh my god. This demo just made me smile geniunly and laugh mirthfully a thousand times!
I’ve already grown attached to a gorgeous sourpuss and I’ve envisioned our quite bright future togather so I’m (anxiously) looking forward to the rest of the story.
It’s refreshing to finally read a story that actually focuses on the dynamics in the relationships between the characters rather than solely on the fights and the punches (not that I didn’t love those in the story! I enjoyed burning eveything very much).
Thank you very much for the wonderful experience that is reading this demo and I wish you the best of luck in writing the rest of it.

I just love focusing on interpersonal relationships, not just between the MC and the companions, but between the companions themselves too! But I also love epic battles and feats of valor sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor! So to hear that I’ve hit the sweet spot with you is such a boost to my determination to finish this! THANK YOU❤ (Also, Morkai is indeed gorgeous

If you changed the title to “The Soul Stones War”, emphasis on the s at the end of Stones it might get this reaction less. Due to the fact that there is only one soul stone in Marvel, and there are multiple in your story. Just a suggestion.
I mean, if we’re dropping suggestions for the title now then here’s mine: “Soul Stones: The Conflict”. Alternatively, you could replace “stones” with “gems” or “shards”.
Or Soul Emeralds: Chaos Wars.
