The Soul Stone War General Discussion Thread (Romance And Stones Guide on #6)

@Sum_1 There will be a book 2, certainly. I’ve already started writing it, but I have no idea when it will come out…

Also, here is Manerkol’s portrait from loghace for those interested

How do you reciprocate mornies desire? Its locked for me

@KuroBushii You must not have flirted with any of the others in any form, and to also pick the choices that show that the MC is interested in her in Ch5 and Ch8. The options are: 1)Stare at her face, horrified and captivated at the same time. 2)“I’m going nowhere with you!” I shoot back at her…not at all mesmerized by her lips.

Also, for all Straasa lovers out there, here comes another portrait made by loghace!

I love how this one came out too  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :star_struck: Next in line: the girls!

(This is gonna be a long one, so buckle up, ladies and gents)
Ok, hear me out. I was reluctant to buy this game, because I knew, I knew it’ll be the end of me.

And lemme tell you, I was not wrong.

Character development? → check :white_check_mark:
Thrilling action? → check :white_check_mark:
A cast of delightfully interesting and amazing characters? → check :white_check_mark:
Good humour? → double check (I was laughing like a dumbass at my phone screen) :white_check_mark:
Great writing with good pace that allows you to interact with the other characters and also moves the plot forwards? → extra check :white_check_mark:
A great fantasy setting vividly painted and brilliantly done justice to? → you got it, triple check :white_check_mark:
Angst and romance? → yeap, you guessed it 9000check :white_check_mark:

Now, the characters, oh man, the characters. I came here expecting something and was left so pleasantly surprised at how wrong I was about everything.

  1. Let’s start with the bbeg: The High King himself
At start of game: I see sexy vampire (and a high king to boot), I go for it. No questions asked.
At end of game: Motherf**er, imma put a stake right through your handsome face if you call me “pet” one.more.time. Fight me, b*tch.

  2. Morkai
At start of game: I guess I’ll finally beat my own record at making readhead puns and jokes.
At end of game: The amount of times people have gotten between our love is too damn high. Also, the only interaction acceptable at this point between him and my MC is merciless teasing and jokes about being underage. It is known.

  3. Straasa
At start of game: Oh, the overly nice and definitely boring character? cool, cool, sure, sure, whatevs man.
At end of game: What a sweet precious human being. I will be your best friend and I will make sure nothing ever touches you.

  4. DaeDae
At start of game: What a pretty elf. Why can’t my MC be an elf? Oh and she’s magical. Go figure. I mean, can you BE any more stereotypical?
At end of game: the world will tremble at the sound of our maniacal laughs combined, prophesyzing doom and destruction, as sweet glorious chaos unfolds. I can’t wait to get in some serious mischief alongside my bff and terrorize everybody!

  5. Eledwen
At start of game: A friggin dragonborn. But no horns? Breath weapon? no? what CAN you do woman?
A end of game: A shoutout for our dragon lady. She’s the real MVP. She atac, but she also protec. Don’t worry, I’ll be here fren. And everybody who was ever mean to you is gonna pay tenfold for that.

The stones
Man, the stones are d*cks, not gonna lie. That being said, I can’t wait for me and Agate to finally start working together and to reach an agreement. Our stage name? Harley friggin Queen.
Also, if having a stone now makes my MC really powerful, you know what that means, right? It’s payback time for dear sweet Morkai. Somewhere along the lines of unrelentlessly making fun of, pranking and tormenting him to no end. Oh, oh, what was that? Revenge? Sure, sure, sure, sure sure. But it’d be a shame if he realized that he is now weaker than my badass, awesome (and might I say, devilishly handsome) stone wielding MC.
Oh how the tables have turned, milord. And two can play this game. :smiling_imp:

All in all, a really really well written and great game, that kept me glued to my phone for, and I kid you not, 9 hours(more or less). And that was only my first playthrough. Which was 5 days ago.
I have already headcannonned my MC’s entire life, ffs.

So, all I can say is congratulations on this brilliantly executed game and I hope you keep up the good work because you bet imma be the first in line when the sequel is announced (I mean really, THAT cliffhanger? Why, WHY must I endure such atrocities?)

Here everyone is gushing about the ROs and I’m just sitting here wondering if Daelynn is an agent of Manerkol and low-key Yandere for the PC.

@The_Eski W… what makes you say that? :no_mouth:

We all know it’s the donkey  :see_no_evil: :hear_no_evil: :speak_no_evil:

Well . . .

  • There’s her initial appearance, which just so happens to coincide with Manerkol stirring up trouble, giving her an excuse to rescue and travel with the Party.
  • Her wanting to keep the whole group together, even though the PC is mostly useless and what she’s seemingly looking for is bodyguards.
  • There’s her wanting to track down Eledwen, so she can take the Dragonkin back to her village. Her village, which has been purged and is currently occupied by Manerkol.
  • There’s her underlying nature of possessiveness and black moods when she thinks the PC has been hurt or is in danger, which only really show up during her Romance path.
  • After she and the PC copulate, she mutters to herself about not letting “Him” hurt you, like she has some special say in the matter.
  • There’s the scene where Manerkol notes that the Elf Village Elder trusted someone he shouldn’t have. I think that was Daelynn.
  • Then there’s how she acts once the PC has obtained their stone, she’s desperate to get them to her village and the one person who she thinks can help. We’re supposed to infer that this means the village Elder, but what if it means Manerkol instead?

Just a bunch of little things, spread throughout the story and never explicitly pointed out. Granted, there are a few bits that contradict this as well, but those could be misdirection and I tend towards the paranoid.

I am trying to get a poly relationship with both female LI’s. To have that I need 5 flirtmance points with Daelynn and 3 for the other. I have gotten only 4 with Daelynn and have replayed several times to find that last one and no luck with it. What am I missing to be exact? I flirted with her on the boat after the Sirens attacked. I flirted with her when my MC got ahead of the group and got lost. I flirted with her before the kobold attacks. I flirted with her before she plays the flute. What am I missing? Please help it is really driving me crazy.

I think you are missing the one where after you search the cave for Eldewen and return back you can talk with Daelynn to chill off about Morkai. There you can select the option saying"Can I sit here?(bashfully or something)" which gives flirtmance+1. Note that this is a bold flirt..If you aren’t still satisfied, you can check this link which has a detailed RO guide by the author.

@marvelfreak3000 There is also one scene in early chapter 6 where Daelynn wants to tell you about how she met Eledwen. In this convo, you get the chance to flirt with her again. 1) “Oh, I’m sure you’re loads of fun, DaeDae…,” I trail off suggestively. 2) “I’d love to spend time with you, DaeDae…,” I admit with a flush, not realizing I used her nickname. ---- The first one is bold, the second shy.

@The_Eski :eyes: I can neither confirm nor deny this, but I must say, I do like the way you think :smirk: I just love spreading little tidbits all over, across different friendship routes and romances even, so one only starts to get a fuller picture if they play through the whole game :joy:

Yes. I know about that BUT don’t you have to spend time with both of them at that point to “lock in the poly route” according to the tips you gave in the romance section?

What I say in the guide is that “you need to have 5 flirtmance points with Daelynn and 3 with Eledwen. Pursue Daelynn and pick all her flirtmance options until Eledwen turns up, then flirt with Eledwen 3 times. The option to spend time with them both and lock in the romance will appear in Chapter 6.”

Because of how late in the game Eledwen appears, you can’t have a romantic scene with both of them before the lock-in option comes up. So long as you have 5 points with Dae and 3 with Elly, the option to lock in their romance in Chapter 6 will unlock.

Daelynn has 3 points in Ch4, 1 in Ch5 and 1 in Ch6, and Eledwen has 1 in Ch5 and 2 in Ch6.

Please…please someone tell me how to get my skills high enough for the good ending. I can’t stand to watch my boyfriend(s) collapse from bloodloss again. I know @Morgan_V said I’d need at least 40 in Magic or Combat OR 38 in Persuasion or Wits BEFORE I get the Stone in chapter 10. I’m just not picking the right choices know the earlier chapters! This is HARD!! (Well DONE, Morgan. :clap:Beautifully done.:clap:)
