Hey, choicescript wizards ![]()
I’m having a bit of a technical issue on my stats page. It may be a visual bug or glitch?
I have 5 opposed pairs listed and for some reason, the final set always does what you see below. The stat to the righthand side of the last line…disappears? It’s still tracking the value, but in this case, the word “Suspicious” isn’t showing up. I’m not getting any error messages during testing, so it’s functioning.
It seems to be an almost identical issue to the one discussed in this thread: here But either I’m doing something wrong (most likely) or these solutions didn’t work for me. Apologies for posting on a similar issue!
(I have no idea why I still can’t seem to upload screenshots, or ‘embed media’ in posts) Bear with me, but it essentially looks like this on the stats screen in-game with the appropriate red and blue bars:
Personality Traits
Empathy 49% / Cynicism 51%
Sincere 53% / Sarcastic 47%
Contemplative 49% / Intrepid 51%
Warm 52% / Aloof 48%
Trusting 45% / 55%
See, that last variable (55% here) isn’t appearing. It’s just reads as the value, no actual word listed on that right most side. It should say “Suspicious 55%.”
The actual code looks like this:
Personality Traits
*stat_chart
opposed_pair Empathy
Cynicism
opposed_pair Sincere
Sarcastic
opposed_pair Contemplative
Intrepid
opposed_pair Warm
Aloof
opposed_pair Suspicious
Trusting
Does anyone know what would cause this? Or how to better implement the solutions proposed in the above thread from Apr '19? Any advice is appreciated!
(also I still need to change Empathy/Cynical to their adj forms to match the others, so ignore the miss-match for just a little while longer
)
EDIT: Problem Solved! Thank you @Meira_Litch and @Sylveranty. Actual wizards.
