Personally I have no preference as long that you don’t make one book then never release the second part

I personally prefer two books, but I believe there is a big problem with that now that I think about it. What would people who bought the second book do? They would make the book one most important choices like most books do? Or like Evertree Saga that if you start on the second book they give a reason for that, like, it is canon that your adventure started on the second book?

Just for simplicity purposes, I’d say one book is best. That, or the zombie exodus format, 1 game with future parts being additional purchases

I think one big book is better for reasons above, as well as for publicity reasons.

Personally, I would prefer one big book rather than splitting it into two, and as for whether a market exists for this kind of stuff, I think Suzerain proves there is interest in interactive political fiction, along with it being on the larger side of ChoiceScript releases, I would be rather surprised if it doesn’t sell well.

Splitting it into 2 books will be better, as long as it have a great story and quality. As it will bring more readers to your story who are into real life political game , which only help with the story as more people results in more idea.
Splitting it into 2 books will massively decrease the chance of a burn out as it have happened to great many wip ( my personal favorite united we stand die due to author personal issues and sever burn out.
If the first book is about establishing your self, dealing with major issues which plague the nation at least by MC stands, and preparing for invadible conflicts and securing a re-election can be the main focus of the story.
2 book can really go in depth about all political environment of a nation at war and what kind of legacy will MC leave behind and how player decision impacted day to day life of ordinary people and there view and change in political views held by the people ( world war 1, 2 , cold war, Vietnam War, war on terror all have a massive impact on people world view and political stands ).

Hey all! I apologize that this update is coming out a day late, I just didn’t have time to post a quick update this past weekend. Nonetheless, I have a lot of great updates to share!
The Updates
- Firstly, and perhaps most excitingly, the Patreon demo is now updated! The October edition of TPH is available as of the posting of this update. The link to this updated version, which includes everything I’ve written up until this point, will be included at the bottom of this post!
- The entirety of the midterm elections series of scenes is now complete! This includes a number of unique scenes and dialogue depending on your choice of a Vice President and the results of the midterm election (as mentioned, there are five different election night outcomes)
- While not as exciting, I’ve also completed all updates to the “Government Overview” page in the settings menu – this took quite some time as I had to go back to create about a dozen or so new variables to ensure the Government Overview tab would continue to be up-to-date as the story progresses
- Going into the next few weeks of writing, I’ll continue to chug away on what remains of Chapter 4 (largely the opening of an impeachment inquiry related to events that kick this chapter off). Also on my to-do list is updating all the necessary Character Pages post-midterms

Unfortunately, DashingDon only allows me to upload entire chapters at a time – there’s no way to upload smaller chunks of the story without creating duplicate text files. Because of this, I usually only update the demo once I complete a full chapter. Once I complete Chapter 4, for example, (ideally by the end of October 
) I’ll upload the entirety of Chapter 3 to the public demo.

Question : I just finish the two new chapter of the demo and I lost my majority ( got the midterm 3 from what I saw on the code of the game), but I play a Democrat Centrist and I would like to know if it will be possible to pass legislation if I have enough “Republican Leadership” and “Democrat leadership” even if I don’t have majority in the senate ?

As of right now, there won’t be a major focus on legislation in the chapters following the midterms. Your relationship with Republican & Democratic Leadership will still have an impact on elements of the story, though (both for immediately after the midterms and for after your re-election).

Well I Have a 2 Question i wanted to ask, How Corrupt Can We Get?, Can Reach Richard (Dick) Nixon Levels Of Corrupt Or Can We Become More Corrupt Then Our Favorite dick Nixon, And For the 2nd Question Can we Become even Remotely Similar to Yockey And if Yes Can We Become Worse than Yockey If Thats Even Remotely Possible. I have a suggestion regarding the infidelity route, If MC relationship with their spouse is high… They’ll do what Hillary Clinton does and threw their body to protect the president… I really would love if you can slip in a few words from these clip or make something similar to it for the behind the scenes arguments before showing to the media that they’re a perfect strong family…a charade if you will https://youtu.be/56EOr6dMtP0?si=e1IhpZwJI28qa9hv
And if MC relationship with the spouse AND the family is low, a public divorce with lots of media attention and make one of their kids go public by announcing how horrible the president really were
