There are a couple places that convert animal ashes into crystals, through some process, and you can store them or wear them/whatever, but it’s a nice way of keeping them with you longer, I suppose? I mean, it might be crass, but I’d think it’s better than taxidermy D:

Hustler could just say that our pet
died of a medical condition instead. Heartworms for dogs maybe.

Close. Not exact but close.

If it’s close then there is only one conclusion

our pet got ran over by some drunkard

Getting colder.

Hmm

our pet got killed when it approached someone’s property?

This may be my fault. Really you were right initially by mentioning medical. It just isn’t heartworms.

Hehe I guessed it right. I wonder what sickness will it be depending on our animal though.

Cancer could probably be what kills the cat and the dog. The guinea pig, rabbit, and budgie will have lived their natural lifespan or more at this point, and would die around Year 17 having lived a full life. However, the snake and the macaw have long lifespans as pets, and any diseases that kill them tend to be due to co-housing with infected birds/snakes (as well as buying imported birds/snakes, but that’s a different topic), as well as negligence in housing (unlikely, given that the most recent possible problem was 5 years ago, and MC/child are used to it).

Okay, no poll because I want kinda thought-out responses. For scholarships and financial matters regarding paying for the kid’s future plans, would you want that in the same section where he decides what school he will or will not attend? Or should it be saved for the next year as a post-graduation, pre-moving out event?

Oh, update, by the way.

This is going to sound stupid but — It depends on my kid.

If my kid is a super-jock going to school on a scholarship, etc is something that would be a process from at least the junior year going forward. Same with the super-gifted kid going to MIT or Yale as a wonderkid brainiac…

If my kid was as lost and carefree as I was in life, she just goes with the flow and will do the best she could at the time… even if that means she misses out on some opportunities with missed deadlines or lack of referrals, or whatever.

Most kids that don’t have things set up from birth would only get serious when they decide where they want to go and what they want to do (or at least decide for the now) …

Hope this helps.

Found a bug;

Save system is out for some reason…

For once you do not have to wait until I get home from work for a fix; I had just forgot to take the *comment off of the save plugin that lets me run the tests. It has been updated and should work.

@Eiwynn That’s an interesting point, that for the people outside the norm it might happen earlier than others. I don’t have it that way as is but that doesn’t mean i couldn’t go back and add it in for those in year 17 later.
