Welp, I played he game last night but was a bit too lazy for the review.
I liked where the game was going, however the character development is a bit lacking. Considering the characters will be the focal point of this game, this needs a bit more improvement. I really didn’t feel much for the characters that died even though they were supposed to be student I’d been in school yet for years.
Maybe add a little prolouge so the readers/players can get familiar with characters first before the outbreak?
Also, I’m very curious the the setting, being in the Phillipines, will affect the story.
Overall, I’m really looking forward to this as I’m in love with zombie anything.
Indeed character development/interaction should take on a bigger role. I know you plan on doing it in the next chapters but its far to late for that considering chapter 5-6 basically affects the next part of the story (if you get on the bus or not). I just don’t care enough about the characters to want to help them, be friends with them. Although, like I said before, Rose and Kirk are awesome. (Although I’m not sure if this will change once I find out Roses age, I’m assuming she’s a young girl 10-12, in which I want to take on a guardian role (having a little sister of my own)

I also agree. I think there should be a chapter early on in the story like an entire chapter of providing atmosphere of the land and the characters, so you feel more invested as you see your home destroyed and other characters killed around you, so Ill make sure to tell Sandy next time he is on.

He told me something, that I vaguely remember. I don’t think he gets much internet access so he doesnt get to watch over the thread like I do, and when he is on I dont think he gets to fully view all the comments, because his time is limited or something.
So when I talk to him I just try to summarize what everyone is saying. about the game and what the complaints are, and a possible way to remedy the problem to make everyone happy.

How old is lovely little Rose?
She was supposed to be a 6 year old, but I changed it to 10 years old, because a six year old won’t survive a day out there.
and a 10 year old would? maybe. Ah well at least shes still around the same age as my lil sis. I knew there was a reason I wanted to look after her. Speaking of which, the game kind of throws you into always been around Rose. Perhaps add an option that Yes you saved her but you don’t need to lay on the floor with her and protect her (even if thats what she want)

@Sandstorm Great to see you up and well again! I’ve just had a thought, maybe you could do an ‘origin’ choice that defines your character? Maybe your father/mother is a police officer, therefore you have experiance with guns. Or maybe you have been introduced to crime at a young age, and that increases your Cruelty or resourcfulness (Spelling). Another thought is maybe you’re an exchange student and are used to that kind of travel and meeting people, (maybe increase diplomacy?). Too many ideas, waay too many…

Origin works in some story’s, don’t know if it will work in this one considering the starting scenes. @trollhunter didn’t you say you were a grammar nazi? Although you do bring up a good point, aren’t you worried about your parents at all?
