So my concussion has got a bit better but I’m still not entirely well. I have to go back to work tomorrow, though, so I may as well start working on TMB again. I might just proofread for a few days, though, so I don’t push myself too much.

Don’t push yourself too hard. Your health is more important that a story, no matter how engaging.
I don’t recall how many times I’ve played this Demo, but I’m really fond of Rigel. I think I just have a soft spot for people with his personality. He’s really endearing to me! I read about what happens if you indulge Zaleth. No amount of power is worth that. Maybe it’s just because I never get to see my brothers, but I’m really attached to Percy.
If I had put more into Strength than Compassion, I would have cold cocked the crap out of Killian. Threaten my little brother, and I will turn you into kitty food.
I am going to confess, though, I do get a little annoyed every time I see my Charisma go down because I went to the library. Bookworms can be charismatic… [ * Pouting. ]

I love how protective of Percy you all are. 
I can understand that. There will be plenty of chances to make up the lost charisma, though, and I didn’t want the scribe and library scenes to be too overpowered since they boost so many other stats.
I mean, hey, there’s a lot one can do with four hands. ;p
Also, Keano is now tied with Violet on the poll. Say wuuut. Remember the “old school” days when the demon huntress was always in clear and unstoppable first? This poll is so interesting.

Good. No matter how intriguing a story may be, always put your health first.
Oh! Then I feel like we would get along. Though, to be honest, that makes the fact that I chose to make-out with him a little awkward. 
Of course I’m protective of him! It doesn’t help that the kiddo has the same name as one of my favourite characters from a particular TRPG webseries. If Killian had laid so much as a breath on him, I’d have beaten the cretin within an inch of his life, and strung him up by his entrails. Or something like that. [ * Saccharine giggle. ] 
I can understand that. Stats seem to be a hard thing to balance, especially with so many to take into account. I can get over it. Though I may find timidness incredibly endearing, I suppose most wouldn’t consider it terribly charismatic.

Huh, interesting. I didn’t pick choices that had me interact with Violet, outside of the initial run in, and the Infernal Note. But, yes, I fear the days of a demon hunter/tress winning on the sheer force of personality they usually bare are dying off. Gotta say? I’m a sucker for archers. Especially when they come baring chocolate chip anything.

Seems like you’re really enjoying the story. As an author, probably the most gratifying thing is to see readers connecting with characters.

My concussion hasn’t fully healed yet, of course, but it’s gotten to the point where I can safely start working and writing again as long as I’m careful not to overdo it. I wrote 500 words and did some proofreading today, so I’d say things are on track once again. So far I have 22/50k for Chapter 5, so hopefully I’ll be posting it sometime in January.

Foundation of Nightmares, my latest HG, was released today! Not only that, but the whole trilogy was copyedited by CoG and put on Steam.
Why am I talking about this on my TMB thread, you ask? Well, my Demons Among Men series and my Magician’s series are in the same world and share multiple main characters. In particular, you’ll get your first sneak peak at a powerful wizard, Melithar the Eccentric, who trains both the demon hunter and magician. There is also an easter egg in FoN about one of the characters who will make his first appearance in The Magician’s Enigma, Jonaug the werewolf.

I haven’t opened up steam today but are they offered inclusive or as add-ons?
The subject matter of your series will be the initial draw - the other stuff are usually niche (of a niche group already 
)
The thing with add-ons is this: The Steam community was burned by too many exploiters of “dlc” offerings, so they may be gunshy.
If its all integrated then, yes… everyone should give you props for that.

They’re included in TotDH and FoN but not CoF (as an experiment). The IAP was actually pretty successful with 20% of CoF readers getting it. It spurred a few bad reviews, but that’s to be expected.

I might be in the minority here, but Percy seemed like the exemplar of an irritating little brother: he steals from his family (who seem to need money), pitches a fit when confronted, and is the reason my MC’s house is covered in cat hair.
Still, I found that the parent characters were more than likable enough to make up for him. And on principle, nobody messes with my family.

I can understand that! Every character in TMB has clear flaws and people will either be endeared to them or be irritated by them, or somewhere in between.

Some news:
It looks like Chapters 5 and 6 just keep ballooning into larger and larger stories. These two alone might end up being 120k or more, so I’ve decided to split them into three chapters of about 40k each. This means that they’ll also be released in quicker intervals. It also means that TMB might end up being 250k long, so I don’t expect to finish it until late February at the earliest.

Well damn, Mabelin and Keano are now the top two characters on the poll.
