I figured out one of the other multiple reasons i fell in love with this book.
ROs given a chance to be known before tied into one.
Some other titles try to keep a lock from happening but is there. One reason i like “poly” up to a point. Half the games are half done before knowing if like an RO. Then feels rushed into on few of those.
Lots of games dont take into account of demisexuals (thru trauma). Nice, if was unaware, you are plowing thru that path. Maybe that is the major point of this being top 5 in my list. Other reasons in there besides the ROs, definitely.

Genuinely, the only problem I have with this game it that i accidentally flirted with Hadrian once and everyone treated me as if was i was always flirting with him lol. Still managed to break it off but it was kinda funny. Otherwise, genuine peak game, i love how fighting is, no matter the weapon!

P.S. : the imagery, setting, characters, combat are very well written,

This game was fantastic. And i would say more but i should’ve gone to bed 8 hours ago but then Beka appeared so yeah, i’ll just go for please more Beka and leave it at that.
(No but seriously, compelling setting that fills you in gradually by making you care about character and the world they live in rather than just exposition dump you, Alessa and Hadrian best buds 'nough said, a MC that like mine can be merciful/brutal/sarcastic/pragmatic with a splash of piety and lechery but not feel like a schizo because they’re written that well, and finally an old-ass horse and an adorable carrot thief. Can’t wait for Book Two.)

Yeah man, I finally finished my first full playthrough, the first time I played this was way back when it first came out, and while I really enjoyed the first 3 chapters, I got overwhelmed with chapter 4.
However, I gave the game another chance and went through it again these past few weeks, and it’s definitely one of the best IF out there.
Thoroughly excited for Book Two.

How does anyone feel about a high corrupted Romanus? Because after finishing book two’s demo, I can’t help but want to see all the corrupted choices in the future lol.

Not sure yet. The author said that some ROs will be blocked when corruption is high - bad news. Tho I’m kinda sucker for characters who go insane (or whatever is happening to Romanus). It’s definitely interesting to watch this process but for now I’m not trying to increase corruption too much. My MC at the end of first book had 2.

I think Ana mentioned that you can have high corruption and still romance everyone but they’ll have varying feelings on it as a whole. Obviously, push to deep into it and they’ll leave you but most will stick it out and one RO is locked behind a high corruption stat. I think they also mentioned that having high corruption doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be a bad guy. Pretty much, I’d imagine it’s like doing a Durge run in Baldur’s Gate 3

Typically you can check out first few chapters for free before the purchase, so that’s basically a public demo, after a fashion.
