Iām also of the opinion that M probably isnāt straight up evil. I think they may be trapped in a very specific āroleā by the GL. The way they respond to you and how clearly it remarks on them waiting to provide you customer service (paraphrased because I canāt check right now) just seems like theyāre stuck to me. Maybe theyāll be interested in helping us to break out of their role. Or maybe they help us be happy with ours? Could see that working either way depending on the MC.
I hope so anyway. Iām definitely making a character for them. Potentially sinister and mysterious characters are like catnip.

@E_RedMark This scene tugged at my heart. My MC romancing J felt so bad and ashamed about this. I donāt know that she would have been able to hug J because she felt so ashamed and disappointed with her Grandfather. I feel that those letters and the Grandfatherās role will come up again in the future.
@Nemureru_Mori I wholeheartedly agree about Jās protectiveness. I loved the scene with J and A after the search in the woods when J is clearly concerned about his sibling. My MC loved him even more for the care/concern he showed his sibling.
I noticed that Beeremarked on my clothes too when he gave me the bracelet at the end. I also loved those little things like how the food I selected in the dined showed up on the next page. It may be small, but it shows attention to detail and makes the narrative feel real.
I wonder if we get to pick the MCs car? I think this detail was left blank/empty intentionally since everything else was linked or mentioned. I would want a Tesla ā HaHa @E_RedMark
One of my MCs stayed in the Nautical room and her Aurora got a gift of a toy fish, which was sweet since she loved to watch the fish in the room.
@Nemureru_Mori I will probably earn a 'sniffles" nickname too (I earned āramblerā a few days ago for my rant about Reese). I can only say that I too found myself tearing up several times during my Reese romance run. I love when a game/book/movie/show moves me to tears. Okay, some of you know that I am a TWD fan, and I just watched the last episode of Season 11 with tears streaming down my face after Rositaās death. I want to be able to feel what the characters feel. If I do, then that game/book/movie/show is a success. I got that with Fernweh.

I headcanon that MC did get an inheritance from their parents (the size of the inheritance probably is up to personal MC backstory, but itās less than the Verner wealth that R can access, and greater than 0) and/or a life/fire insurance payout, and either MCās grandfather or their caretaker (possibly the same person who got them out of Fernweh, but this isnāt confirmed) paid for their expenses in the remainder of their adolescence without depleting that money. The money paid for things such as higher education/training, housing, the car, etc.
Of course, MC could have obtained a very stylish, formal wardrobe by shopping at thrift/consignment stores and/or having a very good eye for bargains.
Hmm, that reminds me, those past activities we get to pick can be a job for our adult selfā¦

Marcie is a kindergarten teacher; throughout her schooling, she worked in daycares and preschools to get experience and to prepare herself for working with younger children. She loves her job and adores her students, but whenever the kiddos get up to shenanigans, she always sends silent apologies to the elementary school staff (and other adults) who had to deal with her and Rubyās antics while they were growing up. Naia: Freelance Security Specialist. She has expertise in both physical security (think building security for banks and the like) and cyber security. If thereās a way around your setup, she can find it. Sheās damned good at her job (probably helps to have that supernatural precog/ESP/empath power, huh?), and costs a fortune to hire. Does a lot of traveling with it, but works when she wants because sheās already got enough money to live comfortably for a long time (partially because she knows how to use her money to make more money).
Reina: Mechanical Engineer, with a masters in it. She does contract work for various government projects, as well private companies. Owns her own company, because āworking for the manā is for schmucks.
Iāll probably have a third MC, but have yet to work her out yetā¦
Naiaās also great at pickpocketing, so if you make her mad, she may rob you blind. (probably not, but sheād take your wallet and show it to you just to jerk your chain)
