Tavern Tales (Small/fun?)

Found a few errors, but haven’t read the forum so apologize if they have been posted before.

“A think sword hangs at his waist, and you wonder faintly if he has any idea how to use it.” Think should be thick.

“he said he would give us some of the proceeds from last night!” Forgot to capitalize.

The last name check displays your first name instead.

It’s quit enjoyable so far, especially seeing the poor farm boys reaction to hunting for goblins. Keep it up.

Just played through it again and noticed that the adventurer when thinking to their self(should have stayed at the old man’s tavern)how old is your character? Also on the gossip aspect I think most of the upgrades should give you some incease on it tho not as much as having little birdies but at least some

This looks like it could be quite enjoyable. Hope to see more in the future.

This is one of the best WIPs I’ve seen so far. Great job! I love the replayability in it.

Hey I don’t know if this game has an updated version from the first but if it does amazing sorry just got back to this awsome game after about two months of helping fantom with his game and I was wondering what’s new

Such a shame to see this die.

No post for 25 days and necromancers come to rub salt into the wounds.

Well thanks to everyone who rediscovered this. It isn’t dead but I have been taking a break due to a big documentary I’m filming for my senior class. So that’s why there’s been no update.

I appreciate the errors and don’t worry, I’ll update it -soon-!

so any progress so far?

Actually yes, I have added a scene or two, but it’s not enough for me to say there have been big extensions. Also fixed some typos. I haven’t uploaded the changes to the demo yet.

Asking for project updates is against the forum rules and gets threads closed. Just a heads up.

People shouldn’t be getting angry in the first place about that. The writer didn’t even have to share the story at all… Not to mention, not everyone writes for a living and have other things that come first before the story. That’s why there is such a rule, so the authors don’t get hounded all the time when they’re too busy to write. People need to have patience. The author(s) will let us know when there has been an update.

i only asked because tread got real quite.

just asking if it was still coming along, its not like i am asking how far, how fast or how much he has done or anything.

(also silly rule)

would be nice too get a update or 2 now and again.
other then that, cheers and keep on keeping on friend

Yes, everyone has a right to their opinion, and everyone has a right to share their opinion. This being a privately owned Internet forum however, the owners have a right to enforce their own rules. If people get angry and harass authors then they are breaking those rules and are subject to the consequences.

@Outrageous did not say that anyone did not have the right to their own emotions, only that they would be wrong to be angry about a lack of updates. They are perfectly free to be angry, but that doesn’t mean they’re right.

peace ppl lets not start an argument where one does not need too be alright.

lets all take a breath and a step back.

everyone calm, cool.

peace everone and good luck with whatever it is your doing in live (unless is something criminal then not so much)

If you want to continue the discussion about the no asking for updates rule on the forum than please post to

If anyone does have a problem with members posts please flag them. That will bring the post to the attention of the moderators.

@Generikb I have deleted one of your posts because it was uncalled for.

I read @Shoelip’s comment as a friendly heads-up on the forum rules. With the system being so new people don’t remember that they can flag posts instead.

Really, all of you, hit that flag button. It won’t cause us to immediately lock a thread. We’re not going to punish the flagger for wrongly flagging a post, or the person whose post has been flagged without reading it. Think of it as a quick way to contact all of the moderators saying “hey I thought you should look into this.” All of the moderators are extremely reasonable.

Note that locking a thread in this case isn’t actually a punishment of any sort, it’s just to prevent dead threads from constantly bouncing to the top, getting everyone’s hopes up, only to discover that there is nothing new.

Anyway no more. Back to the discussion of Tavern Tales.
