Tale of Two Cranes—Reach your magical destiny and tangle with your rival in mythic ancient China!

Ah, Liu Bang’s Han is 汉。MC’s Han is 韩。Two different Han with different intonations.
And Chinese dynasty doesn’t have to follow after the last name of the emperor. The name of the Han dynasty is historically accurate, that’s what Liu Bang named the dynasty after he won against Xiang Yu in history.

Yeah I know han dynasty thanks to series but I thought it should be based on family name as like Qin but thanks to inform me but all in the summary is bug I’m sure

Qin Shi Huang was not the guy’s birth name - the Qin royal family’s name is Ying. Same with the Han dynasty. Generally a Chinese dynasty is named after the state that conquered the Empire.

Probably has already been reported but I’ve found some errors, missing text and possible inconsistency issue

Summary

Missing text for “proving Han Xin’s [innocence]” and “this one from [???]”

Stray code after “what brought this on?”

So, about that… married Chan Ming so probably should not include him question mark?

…Gotta admit I’m a bit sad the epilogue does not mention what happens with MC’s kiddos if they die, mine became orphans who takes care of them?? :sob: :sob: I mean, probably the rest of MC’s family but still! I’m attached they were so cute

I know, but apparently you can succeed anyways.

@ClaimedMinotaur I’ll update the guide soon, but essentially LB/XY require all 3 Emperor support tasks completed successfully. 2 out the Empress (marriage and 1 task or both tasks and no marriage). All 3 tasks for the court OR the army (but the army is bugged right now). Once the army tasks aren’t bugged, you’ll also be able to bypass the Empress tasks as long as you get all 3 court tasks and all 3 army tasks. I plan on adding to the section where Chen Yongrui is talking about what you need to succeed to make this clearer. For Emperor YQ, she would need the marriage to her (breaking off whatever relationship you’re in) all 3 court tasks, all 3 army tasks (impossible right now with the bug) and any 2 Emperor tasks. All of these must be done within 9 turns. So, it looks like you were missing the 1 other Empress task in this case (marriage only counts as 1 you need 2) and I don’t know if you did the court tasks, but that would be needed too.

@Ferry Thanks for catching those errors; I’ve already submitted the second one (swapped result on asking your father to return to camp or you and Chan Ming going to camp) and am just waiting for the update to roll out. I’ll take a look at the other two. The holding/land one is weird since its a reward everyone gets no matter what happens in the playthrough.

@lemonminttea No update yet. I assume its because it’s the weekend?:woman_shrugging: I don’t have an ETA unfortunately.

@dawn Thanks for catching those; I can’t believe we didn’t catch the last one sooner  As for the kids, their fates depend on who you sided with in Chapter 6 and who your romance was. For the most part the living parent has them. If you sided with Chan Ming and he was your romance then your brother gets them and he poisons them against you.

@Kmgao Liu Bang is very paranoid and suspicious. He doesn’t trust the Yong Shi because they generally have more power than him. He won’t even name his heir as Liu Yuan even though she is his oldest legitimate and most capable child. But he is more than happy to use Yong Shi as tools to get power for himself.

I went into this thinking it purely fiction. But I just found out that the leaders in this book were based on real people. I tip my hat to you. Historical fiction is not easy to write.

Is there a possibility of adding something somewhere that tracks what you’ve done and tells you what you still need to do? In an irl campaign, you would have a campaign manager telling you exactly what’s left to do. With how complicated it is already, it would be nice to have a function like this somewhere, even if it’s just a line or two of text in the stats screen.

Very nice… except for the excessive killings Xiang Yu’s route is the best, i did Lui Bang’s route first but i restart the game without finishing the whole story and switch to Xiang Yu… cause Bang gave me headache !

What a twist on chan ming’s story i knew he will be villian but never guess what kind of agent he had in him and never guess the real connection between us until he explain it

I love my ending… sad but in the same time happy

Spoiler!!
My first run R.O is Fan Lang and i wonder why she did’nt take the adopted kids in her care when the MC died? while she’s the one who want to have children and instead the children goes to my brother’s care

hey do you have any idea on how to be a Master Imperial Yǒng Shì? I can’t seem to get that title😭 I’ve been repeating Chapter 5: War by Another Name again and again can you make a guide or help me with it?

I just got the master rank after replaying chapter 5 all evening

Here's some tips for passing the test:

I would recommend having at least 70% of all your opposed-pair personality stats before attempting. It’s based on luck which stats are tested. They differ based on the audiences listening to your speech, which are randomized each round. The stats tested are indicated in the choices, you have to chose the choice that match exactly with your high stat(s). You need 3 out of 4 success to pass. Be prepared to play many times, as the stats tested might be impossible to pass with your set of high personality stats…

Hope this helps!

Also, I am not sure it this has been noticed as I haven’t been reading all the posts (havn’t finished the game and avoiding spoilers), but not marrying ROs in chaper 5 results in infinite loop of the RO scene…

You can kind of save him if you have max meditation you can destroy his crane while preserving his life. He’s then turned over, but if you have high court opinion, you can convince the court to let him stay in your custody. It’s definitely still bittersweet, as he becomes a more hollow person after the whole experience, but he slowly learns to trust you again. But IMO it’s clear he doesn’t revert back to his emotional, awkward, and brash self.

Hey hi! Seeking some advice here. I’m on Ch. 4. and already failing stat checks. I’m playing as a Strategist and trying to be high in Econ (16%) + Diplo (15%) and mid-range in Law (6%). I failed my diplomacy stat check and got frustrated, so I put it aside for the time being. Should I not be trying to increase multiple stats in this story? Or is it designed for us to fail for purposes that will positively progress the story? I want to continue the story, but it will just frustrate me further if I am going to continue failing all my stat checks.

I personally recommend going for two noncombat skills. 6% is not mid-range, it’s flat-out useless; two skills will give you a broad mix of approaches to situations.

Absolutely agree. But 16% is useless as well. I figured I was only on Ch. 4, so I would have a chance to continue increasing these stats as I continue. But if I’m failing stat checks this early in my readthrough, then I’m assuming I’m going to continue failing stat checks as I go on. I don’t really want to continue reading if I’m set up to fail based on the game’s coding.

In general, you need 15% to make early easy stat checks, 25% for medium and 35% for the more difficult ones. This takes some doing to get right, and your first game will probably not be a win. That’s okay, try again.

That was my thought process too. At least, it’s been my experience for that to be the case in most COGs. However, I failed my Diplomacy stat check at 15%, even though I haven’t been provided many opportunities to increase stats at this point. Hence, the frustration.
