Hi everyone - my name is Parivir/Adam, and Stage Fight! is my second Choicescript project. It’s set in a near-future world teeming with dungeons, where awakened combat is simultaneously humanity’s lifeline, as well as its most popular form of entertainment.
Inspired by hunter/dungeonverse manhwa (Solo Leveling, My S-Class Hunters, Kill the Hero, etc.) and Produce 101.

Premise
The year is 2045. It’s an age of monster-spawning dungeons, the awakened hunters who brave them…and those who set their eyes instead on the stage.
For as long as you can remember, it’s been your dream to become a stagefighter: awakeners who leverage their powers to put on high-stakes, televised matches to entertain the masses. The battles are fierce and the competition fiercer, and with the whole world watching, the stakes are sky-high. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted…
And one hell of a pipe dream.
As a trainee stagefighter from a struggling, no-name agency, you’ve got your work cut out for you. Never mind getting to the top of the Circuit, it’ll be a hard enough road just to stand on stage to begin with. So when you manage to get on Burnline–the biggest stagefighting survival show on the planet–what can you do but give it your very best shot?
Blaze a trail on the stage, outlast the competition, and write your name into stagefighting history!
(Oh, and never mind the world-ending threat currently brewing in the background. It’s only a matter of time until the real hunters sort that out for everyone…
Right?)

Notes on Development
-
Stage Fight! is currently a side project, as I’ll be primarily focusing my development efforts on Book 2 of A Mage Reborn. As such, updates to the project will be irregular, though I’ll still try my best to put out content at a reasonable pace.
-
Currently I expect the project to be a two-book series, as the full outline seems impossible to execute in a reasonable 1-book length (my personal limit for this hovers in the 600k-700k word realm, and I expect the full work to easily exceed that). If I turn out to be wrong and the project can fit into that range after all, I’ll happily submit it as a standalone book.
-
Romance options listed below are for the entire project. For Book 1, the two principal romance routes will be with Jason/Jenny and Yuda/Yulia, though the other ROs may have romance content sprinkled in as well.
-
I don’t have a Patreon for Stage Fight, and subscribing to my Patreon for A Mage Reborn does not currently grant any advance access to this project. If this changes in the future, then I will update this post accordingly!
Romance Options
Jason/Jenny Wijaya
A fellow stageseed and your closest peer, generally considered to be your agency’s most promising (though whether that’s anything to write home about depends on who you ask). Relentlessly upbeat and hard-working, J is always up for a challenge, especially if you’re facing it together.
Yuda/Yulia Bachtiar
A stageseed competing in Burnline, and the clear frontrunner even before the program started airing. Wealthy, confident, and possessed of the talent to back it up, Y’s life has been a series of wide-open doors. And if their onstage exploits are of any indication, they might just be getting started.
Breaker
Arguably the best stagefighter in the world–and objectively the most famous, per the latest Brand Reputation Index rankings. Charismatic and easygoing, with a flirtatious streak that lands them just shy of sleazy. Following a baffling mid-season hiatus, everyone’s eyes are on them, even more so than usual–so now that they’ve signed on as a judge on Burnline, it’s sure to get the whole world tuning in.
Shin Seojin
The world’s top-ranked hunter is a curt and reclusive figure, with little known about them aside from their extraordinary strength and prolific dungeon-clearing record. Despite cultivating a reputation for being a misanthropic, dungeon-closing machine, they seem to have a curious habit of risking everything to save others from danger.
Pasha/Parisa Aslani
An S-Rank Hunter who passed over the world’s top guilds for the strenuous, unglamorous life of a civil servant at Indonesia’s National Guild. Powerful, genial, and reliable, P is widely adored–and therefore frequently paraded before cameras to reassure the public. It’s strangely been said, though, that many high-ranking hunters tremble at the mere mention of them…
Feedback is very much welcome and desired. This project is a huge departure from my usual prose and setting, so there’s bound to be weaknesses I’ll need to meaningfully address.
(And if you have questions about the world or where the plot’s heading, that’s very much welcome too!)
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
