Soulmates Inc. (WIP) [119k | updated on 05/27/2024]

 Hi, Absolutely Confuzzled, I’m Da–

I hope being able to speak with her (maybe even more than once) later helps clear that up

I mean, you could say that! MC is DMing and orchestrating for two strangers/soulmates to meet under some exciting circumstances, so I guess?

I read this several weeks ago but finally found time to comment on it. I just wanted to say I love what I’ve read so far and I’m very eager to see what comes next! The game path was fun, and while I didn’t try the art exhibit one, I’m fully satisfied with the events of the silly gaming haha

Thank you, glad you’ve enjoyed it! Both approaches, the game event and the art exhibit, are meant to be identical in impact (though very different in execution), so it’s great to know that one of them delivers

Interesting so far. I’m already a sucker for our soul-link partner. Lol.

Hello everyone! Hot from the press, the game has been updated with a lot of plot and character interactions.

In this update:

  • one soul should be enough to solve this, so get digging
  • immediately break a rule or two
  • partake in the company poker night
  • go out for field work where everything goes well
  • pay a visit to a certain vinyl store
  • finally, assemble the full house

The update was fun, but M was such a twerp. Also a bit narcissistic they scold you for messing with people’s lives, and then proceeded to do the exact same thing too the mc. S was kinda a breath of fresh air compared to M but romancing them is a big no no. A is the best, although I’d love to romance them I never pick the apparent flirt options cause the other ones are just so natural and fun. So i accidentally friend zoned myself. Anyways glad this it back.

Always like checking back and replaying this one – enjoyed the update!

Company poker night was nice, bit slice-of-life in a way  curious to see if there would be more of that (co-workers dynamics and all) as it gives us a peak of Soulmate Inc beyond the job itself.

Not gonna lie – Romero bugged me out, aha. Their attitude and approach to MC – I get it. But I wonder if they realize the irony in what they’ve done with MC and Powell; indirectly (or directly?) doing the same they’re arguing with MC over. Powell is still MC’s charge and MC still has a job to do. That said, my MC is sticking to Wyatt - have a few thoughts and questions on his character, but I’m sure they’ll be answered as the plot moves forward; he’s an enjoyable RO overall.

It’s actually fun to see that between the three, your impressions are so different. Thank you for sharing! If it’s any help, by choosing to have a crush on A in the beginning, you can advance the relationship without the need to rake flirt options.

Oh yes, I really enjoy adding these events and already have a bunch of ideas for the future ones!

@Nichole
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

They do with MC and don’t with Sam. You will get the chance to point that out.

Lovely, and I hope the questions get resolved too!

This is really interesting! Can’t wait to see how it progresses. Love Wyatt already. Agree with the user who pointed out the irony in what M did. Wonder if M is actually right or not.

Thank you!

I mean, they, for one, are very sure they are correct.

Just found this, and am liking the premise and the plot thus far.

Oh, absolutely! But in a choice-based game, you ought to make the options compelling at the very least

Sorry, that was just supposed to be funny not to be an actual comment to be taken seriously. I suppose deadpan humour just doesn’t lend itself well to text.

Oh, I sensed that and I still agree  I guess I was making a general point about the situation, that probably didn’t land as well as I’ve hoped.

I absolutely love the dynamic you can have with A even as a friend. It’s so entertaining to read
