It’s a pretty stiff and rough around the edges, but I can see a lot of potential for this one. Characters are pretty interesting enough overall, even with the rushed pacing. (that being said I am a huge lover of slow burn romances, so it might be my own tastes there). The story and ideas are pretty great, curious to see where it goes.
Mostly the dialog and the responses to said dialog that needed some work in my opinion. The characters felt a bit 2 dimensional in some scenes, while in other they felt very much grounded, which I was both confused and pleasantly surprised.
Only example I recall (since I played yesterday) was that I could only get pissed at Trent, even though personally I didn’t mind his temper.
Also if you feel like adding more personality dialog choices (which, granted, is pretty long and hard to have, so I get not wanting to), I felt it was a bit lacking in the stoic/neutral/nonchalant department, since these are usually the ones I go for and I had a hard time making my character act like I felt he would.
And overall Trent seems a bit too pissed off and aggressive for it to be believable. Could be a werewolf hormonal thing though, not sure if that was what you were going for.
There was a pretty good scene while cleaning up though. Going quiet, looking and not being aggressive.
But it was odd that my character thought he had a different look in his eyes from usual while barely having talked to him yet. (Again, this might be my slow paced romance cravings)
Some characters interactions reminded me of a bootleg version of the Wayhaven Crew interactions in a sense. (Don’t mean that rudely, just the word that popped in my head at the time) Like Trent going in a dark corner, being pissy like Mason and quirks like that. But that could be a coincidence or a nod to them.
Also were some instances were I felt the same thing was repeated twice in the same sentence, but with different wording. Might a writing style I’m unfamiliar with though.
Don’t mean any of this negatively or as discouragement however, I hope it is constructive in any way.
And sorry if this was too scatterbrained.
Looking forward to more regardless!
(edit) Another big positive I forgot. Really like the ‘‘pick your vice’’. I thought it was a really good addition. If more vices are suggested, it would be fun to have one or two more options if it doesn’t make coding a nightmare.
