Well teasing our resident cute, evil foxboi is fun. It’s also a sad reflection on my mc’s existence that having a meteor/pearl fall out of the sky and being accosted by a weird foxboi thing is the most “fun” he’s probably had in years, even it might end up with him getting eaten by an ancient Japanese demon thing. :
Also foxy is a trickster of myth, so I imagine at some point the retaliation will come. Once he figures out modern sarcasm and snarkiness I bet he can dish it out as well as take it.

Misao:
Hesitant at first. A soft brushing on your lips. They look at you almost intimidated, something that isn’t familiar to them. They’ve done this song and dance so many times, so why is it so different now? Puzzled, they kiss you again, this time firmer. More urgently. The kiss deepens quickly, almost startlingly so. They are so hungry to taste more of you, the 180 from gentle to intense leaving you reeling. By the time they are done, they look almost guilty or frightened, as if they had done something wrong.
Louis:
He teases you first by kissing the tip of your nose, and then each of your cheeks. Louis peppers you in tiny reverent kisses, until you laugh, begging him to stop.
”Okay, okay, I’ll stop. But just one more?” He pleads.
”Fine,” you relent, “But just the one.”
"That’s fine,” He smiles, “One is all I need.” He leans forward but this time the kiss on your lips is not playful and sweet. It’s achingly tender. Your eyes drift close, finding yourself a bit dizzy and awestruck by the kiss’s intense sincerity.
Anela:
Her kisses are warm and soft and filled with joy. She never thought that someone would want to be by her side and yet here you are, by her side.
She laughs as you snuggle closer to her, the both of you content to just be in each other’s company. It’s like the two of you are puzzle pieces; like your lips were made for hers.
Ugh! That amnesia ask on your Tumblr, now that really would be a bad end for my poor mc. Considering as how he’s pretty miserable at the start of the game with a crappy diner job that can barely make ends meet, being bullied at school and presumably a family that’s falling apart a bit more everyday in no small part due to said financial difficulties. As bad as dealing with evil foxboi-spirits and ancient Japanese demons can get it’s probably better than what he used to have. So to have to return to that life, ugh!
The “return” part of the hero’s journey is entirely unnecessary for this mc of mine.

Don’t worry the little snippet is just a what-if sort of thing. I think amnesia is a worst-case scenario, so hopefully, your MC won’t have to worry about that!
Your writing style and the story you’re telling just seem to mesh so well together. The opening is just long and detailed enough to give us a great picture of the MC’s current situation, but at the same time, short enough that within a few choices we have a good idea of just what we are getting into and what the game is about. It’s flows smoothly with just the right amount of detail. I was surprised at how wrapped up in the game I got, and reaching the end of the demo was devastating (in a good way).
I’m so glad we can play an MC who is excited and all for their life getting flipped upside down by the discovery of all this supernatural around them. I love what Misao we get in the demo, and from the tumblr, I love them even more (And Louis and Anela, who I’m excited to eventually meet them in game.)
I’m kicking myself for taking so long to read this WiP, I’m very much looking forward to more!
There is something wrong with the demo. At the end of the chapter 1, there is an strange jump to a pair of options that they should be well advanced in the chapter 2
Looks like there’s a bug when you hand over the pearl to Misao and choose the second option. Paragraphs 3 and 6 are the same. The entire scene doesnt mesh well, tbh.
