Dragons play 5D chess, potentially with you as a chess piece.
And they cheat. Even at solitaire.
And a pawn at that.
And the pacing is glacial. The games have been going on since the Fourth World was a thing, and they look to go on until Sixth World is over. The mission a dragon sends you on today might seem inconsequential and forgettable right now, and then drop you into a load of trouble ten years from now when a bunch of corporate assassins really want to know exactly what you saw that one night, and really want to be sure that nobody else will be able to get that information out of you when they’re done.
Never deal with a dragon.
More Neon Fire reveals over on Tumblr. Specifically, your Seattle crew:
There seems to be a mistake: this crew has four members (plus the MC), but only two of them think they’re in charge? Preposterous! ![]()
I’ve never heard of Shadowrun
so I’m looking forward to this game and learning about it as well ![]()
Oooh, play this: Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director’s Cut on Steam (steampowered.com)
And this: Shadowrun: Hong Kong - Extended Edition on Steam (steampowered.com)
You’ll thank me if you do!
Thanks for the recommend I’ll check it out! ![]()
I absolutely love these games and will be equally excited and sad when the third book comes out. Excited that it is out and sad for it being the last one! Thanks so much for the adventures! ![]()
Thank you, I’m so happy that you like the series! And yes, I was sad to leave the series behind, but I hope you’ll feel like 3 gives you a satisfying conclusion!
continues to squeal excitedly
Indeed, no such thing as a milkrun, so the question isn’t if this one is going sideways, but when and how.
(you got two different pronouns for the ork in the third paragraph, which is not incorrect, but I just want to make sure it’s intended)
“Their” is supposed to refer back to the arms, not the ork. But I’ll redraft if that isn’t clear!
Oh, I see it now.
The original one set in Seattle is also good!
Yeah, turning by-the-book SR tests into code sounds… finnicky. ![]()
I was sort of scared seeing those testing options, but there’s a non-zero chance I’ll nab Computer in the chargen choices… maybe ![]()
(the first option says “text” instead of “test”)
I added an extra option for “perception”. Pretty much every character build will get at least one point in Perception. But the test is slightly harder for that one.
Also, have just confirmed that my code for skillchecks works, and works well. I just imported the Shadowrun ruleset successfully into Choicescript! I’m a coding god!
(Well maybe not. We’ll see when I have to code the first combat encounter. That will be a headache!)
Pretty sure you’re just an ancient stone-melded reptilian alien. ![]()
EDIT: Wait, shit, I cannot be this stupid. The stone is called calixite, it conveys magic-like abilities, and Yeshua used it. It’s… It’s the Relics-verse origin of the holy grail - supposedly a chalice - isn’t it?
