I’m deep into writing the Relics 3 Endgame now. It’s tough, trying to come up with a way to satisfactorily resolve a whole trilogy, to make three books’ worth of decisions have consequences, and to design a final act as epic and exciting as the trilogy deserves. For anyone who wants to know how the Endgame is going to work, I’ll put a little teaser material under the spoiler tags.
So, as you know if you played Chapter 6, you’re gonna be attacking a castle on a remote Greek island which has been occupied by the Nazis. A lot of people told me that their favorite part of these games was the Congo siege in Book 1 Chapter 4, so I’m approaching this in the same way - it’s going to keep track of your forces and how they perform, and decisions that you take about tactics will be really important to the outcome. The only difference is that it’s reversed - here you’re attacking, rather than defending, a fortress. I also was strongly influenced by the Mass Effect 2 “suicide mission”, which a lot of people see as the highlight of the trilogy.
How many resources you have available for the attack will depend on decisions you have taken throughout all three books. The fates of certain characters from throughout the trilogy may mean that you have more or fewer soldiers available. Also, the state of your relationship with your friends and allies will determine who does, and who doesn’t, agree to come with you on this suicide mission. The more people you have, the more tactical options will be available. Most of your buddies will be available either to join the main attack, to be in your own party of three, or to undertake certain “specialist” missions to help with the attack on the castle. A few of them won’t do this, but will help you out in other ways. You need to decide exactly who does what. But choose carefully, and make sure you pick the right person for the right job. Nobody is plot armored in the Endgame. Any and every one of your friends could die - and if they do it will be because of decisions you took!
It will be possible to get through this with nobody getting hurt, if you’ve gathered a lot of resources and you’re tactically smart. But, in the worst case scenario, up to eight of your friends might die!!! So brace yourself. It could get bloody and emotional!
As the guy who’s probably going to try as much as possible to kill off every single person, I’m practically cackling and rubbing my hands together in glee

-Gainza/his son (can’t imagine there would be a choice between him living or not without some repercussions)
-Consuelo
Calloway needs to have survived, obviously (he can die on both possible routes to the city). You need to have high respect from both Johnson and Kaminski. If you have high Johnson respect, then Hendricks will come too, and if you have high Kaminski respect, then Calloway will come too. To get high respect, you need to do a few things:
Try to avoid conversation options that are obviously snarky or insulting to either of them.
Impress them. As a rule, Johnson is impressed by you being clever and, if you can, showing knowledge of Japanese culture or language. Kaminski is impressed by you being aggressive and/or effective in combat. (Note that, in the haiku battle, you can get approval from both Johnson and Kaminski by picking the haiku that mocks Johnson: he doesn’t mind, and is just happy that you played along!)
When given the choice between going to the village or going through the mountains, you will impress whichever person you side with, and annoy whichever person you don’t. (You can limit the damage by suggesting a vote: you’ll win the vote if you have high approval from Dominique and your other companions).
On the night before arriving at the city, when you’re offered a choice of whether to speak with Johnson or Kaminski, speak with whichever one of them you think has the lowest approval: you can use that conversation to improve your relationship with him.
That’s an amateur’s game. I just shot her with the tranq gun. That’s PROFESSIONALLY annoying. Dominique comes through for me even when they’re not there, it’s amazing. I look forward to killing a fascist with her when the game comes out.
1 - Maria would definitely insist on separate accounts, and
2 - There’s not enough money in the WORLD that’d convince me to endure that.
Truly, an unexpected plot twist that contradicts everything we know about her. /ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss (ad infinitum)
Damn, Schliemannsghost beat me to it, that’s what I get for showering.
