PRESS PLAY (music WIP, prologue, chapter 1 + chapter 2, 118k words; UPDATED September 30th)

Loves this, though need more spice on the NSFW side. And romance is also a bit lacking for everyone except Zima

Chill, we just started the story lol it’ll come in due time

100k words is half of average length of usual IF. Like Bootlegger Moonshine Empire with 200k words the story was good but I don’t know why they even added a romance when I think the romance was mentioned less than 100 words.

I think it’s better to flesh out the romance first if not it just turned into a click bait for those that don’t read IF without romance.

Lol then youve been playing a lot of the smaller ones then. In seriousness though this is still very early into the story so my advise take it for what it is and enjoy it for that

An i might be mistaken so the author can correct me if im wrong but i dont think this is a romance first type of game just a aspect of it.

I mean it’s not clickbaiting? The main premise is the music/fame/interview aspects which have all been delivered on - it’s a good length due to the variation, seems unfair to knock it because the author has delivered a lot of content in the early chapters?

cmon it’s still just a beginning of the story, it’s obvious it’ll be much longer than that so everyone will get more scenes :sob::sob::sob::sob:
like i can’t wait for angel’s romance, but i know we just started

Well, you did it again.
I hate heavy stuff, like psychological problems, Trauma and Drama. I have given Up games I like, just because I did not find a answer I would choose, but you write this new chapter and I loved it.

Even If the Plot gets dark, I always find, what I want to choose, so really good Work.

I am thankful, that we don’t have to be selfharming or already having an attempted suicide. I love that the chars are “broken” in the most charming way. I love that we can play as nice as we want to. The Story ist very interesting, I really like the place. That we get sneaks one the actual present at the Same time that we view the past is refreshing and new.

I love that the whole cast feels so real, I am someone who skips descriptions of the chars, I mean I read them, But how the chars look in my head is just different. Still I have a really clear image of everyone we met until now which is great. Very often Side characters could also be blobs for me, since they do not feel real enough to get an Image from my brain, but here everything fits. It is like watching a series, which is something I do not experience often in a IF.

So thanks for your Work, I really like and appreciate what you do.

There’s really nothing with Zima except things in the past, but they not really a fan of you know so it doesn’t really matter. Also Stevie can have a whole crush on you.

Holy shit, how did MC’s single mother that works three jobs and lives on metaphorical food stamps afford to send MC to this good of a ward? No beatings, no Sulfozinum shoved into the veins whether you like it or not, horses for the patients (one visit costed me a thousand or so), dogs, good doors with automatic locks, movie nights… She can force me to break up with God himself, and I’d still say “aye-aye, m’am”, how the fuck did she manage?

There’s also not many opportunities to, well… not be cordial with Lincoln, which saddens me a ton. Come on, he has found my house! He may swat me, doxx me or do so much worse than everything above combined. I don’t want to go to his bloody party even if he has Mother Mary and Jesus themselves pouring endless wine for the guests.

Also, how did MC not recognize Remy? His face structure hasn’t changed much, he hadn’t changed much about his appearance, he just bulked up. I thought MC has met him before he transitioned and was very closeted, but he already started the process a tad. Remy is a masculine name, so it’s not like it was that big of a change socials-wise.

Does single mom MC origin even have health insurance? I though she didn’t have any - just herself, her enduring spirit and three jobs that were still not enough to make ends meet.

Health insurance probably. During my two trips to a place like that, my parents’ insurance covered it.

It’s possible that one of her jobs that she has offers health insurance as a benefit but the only thing that doesn’t make sense to me at all is that we’re allowed to leave the facility for therapy. If you’re considered a danger to yourself or society, the psychiatrists will never allow you to leave out of safety concerns. The place I was at never allowed it at all or allowed us to interact with people from other floors either.

I assume at least one of those jobs would provide health insurance in this instance. Employers typically have to provide this to employees over a certain numbers of hours worked here in the states.

For the sake of the narrative, I’d say it’s safe to assume that this would be the case for MC’s mom. Also reasonable to assume that mom went into some debt to pay for everything that insurance didn’t cover as well… I hate insurance providers :upside_down_face:

I think one job that was mentioned is cleaning lady - when she leaves MC a pie in the fridge and there’s a note attached to it. I think most of her other jobs aren’t much better pay-wise in that regard - does insurance still apply to these cases? Or is she just… very deep in debt and hates to see her son sad after each and every time they talk to their ex-friend?

Yes. It doesn’t matter what job position you hold, there are some companies that will offer health insurance as a benefit even if you work part time.

I mean they were 14-15 back then and now they’re well into their 20s. Even without their transition, some ppl are unrecognizable when they grow up.
Also, iirc Remy only had a social transition back then not a physical one. So it’s pretty natural MC didn’t recognize them.

I guess he grew a beard! Beard makes people very, very hard to recognize in my eyes.

Hormones change a lot and he wouldn’t have access to them as a boy. So yes, his facial structure would change. Fat disposition, puberty, even bone structure. I don’t know how long Zima was on HRT but since they pass - long enough.

I do like the mom and the band very much, though. Especially with Stevie clearly being the drive behind the band while MC is kind of… the heart of the group, in a way? Even despite the fact that everyone seems to collectively focus on his dead stare and inexpressive face and how they find it very, very weird / hot.

man, he just looks dead inside. who doesn't!

Oh also just to piggy back off this, and this is USA specific but Medicare and Medicaid (Medicaid is state specific based on income level) cover in patient stay. So it wouldn’t even have to be private insurance either.

Don’t know if anyone has asked this yet but It’s just a feeling I get when people talk about Mc in book and judging by some choices we can make. I know several people on the spectrum and somethings line up quite well. If the answer is a spoiler please ignore my question. (Is the Mc on the spectrum?)
