I doubt it. I don’t think there is a canon answer for that considering this is just how people can be but they’re not on the spectrum
I think there are options that suggest it’s a possibility if you choose them (like having sensory overload issues, not understanding other people and having a meltdown at school where they couldn’t stop screaming/crying)
i love this story so much thank you for the update!! this is already one of my favorite IF
Dude, you really got to chill and let the author do their thing. It’s like you’re ranting about nothing in particular especially that this is a fairly new WIP
It’s chapter 2 right now. Story literally just started.
What kind of romance depth are you expecting at this point when the story is still coming together??
All in due time. Let the author do their thing
It is time to move on from the word count discussion.
Thank you.
Hi all, this is a moderator note about a few things:
@Eiwynn already posted a note asking to move on from the discussion. Please pay attention to that. The posts continuing that line of discussion have been hidden.
Please don’t pile on other people’s posts. If you think a post is breaking forum rules, flag it for moderator attention rather than responding. Jumping in to “defend” anyone or snipe at each other derails the thread and turns it into an unnecessary argument.
In short, as ever please focus on discussing the WIP not on each other. The thread has been put on slow mode for a short time to allow some cooling-off between posts.
Thank you.
I noticed something I think is a bug: if you didn’t drink alcohol at the festival, the rich background has an option to complain about a sore throat when Stevie texts you (which seems correct), but the poor and middle-class have the same headache complaint that you have if you did drink (which seems incorrect, considering the sore throat option exists elsewhere).
The people’s migraine.
Lol dont know why but that reminded me of the rock
This is fantastic. I particularly love the narrative of describing the main character from an outside perspective, really well done
Thoughts:
-
A T4T route. Oh, Zima, we’re really in it now! Will we have a chance to choose if MC is open about being trans or not? It will be public knowledge at one point, but it would be interesting to choose where MC stands on the topic with increasing popularity and privacy invasions.
-
at Angel casually revealing Stevie’s crush and “In the end, [Zima] turned out to be the most loyal of all of us.”
-
I love that we got a second choice between masculine and feminine clothing and can therefore freely switch our gender presentation. However, I would appreciate an “I changed my mind” choice that lets you skip back and choose the other style. Right now, you have to choose one feminine/masculine style if you click the choice, even if none of the given options truly appeal to you.

Leland is such a sweetheart. I was not even pining for him but I appreciate the chance to chat with him more. Maybe that’s my asexual ass talking, but the two choices to hit on him (apartment vs. car) struck me as a little excessive. YMMV, but the car option just felt a lot more natural. Sidenote: I’m wondering what he meant by “favorably acquainted” re: Zima.

Even though the gossip around MC and Zima sounds ugly, I really appreciate the dive into the history of their fandom. Considering some of the potential interview revelations, will fandom shipping become a point of discussion? It could be fun when you’re on certain romance paths.

Loved that Tina Turner was an option for MC’s first record and the interviewer’s reaction.
-
“Given I don’t naturally smile, I never know how these attempts at expression will be interpreted, but Remy always seems to recognize it for what it is.” and “I know better than to force a smile in return— Remy always told me I look uncanny when I try to affect facial expressions.” Inexpressive!MC POV, you will forever be famous.

“I don’t know why I do it. Maybe it’s still about making [Zima] feel better (I’m a very dedicated friend)” I was actually about to ask why MC and Zima referred to themselves as “friends” despite sleeping together but… this explains A LOT. What I was wondering: Was MC outright emotionally unavailable or did they simply not fall in love with Zima? I’m mainly asking because I’ve noticed that, so far, we’ve been able to choose how others feel about us without ever needing to specify how MC relates to them. It makes me curious (in a good way!) about MC’s inner life and the way the romances will unfold.
Oh right, about our clothes/style; I was wondering if it’w possible to add gender-neutral options? ofc it’s alright if you don’t want to, just asking
The headache could be from noise/exertion just as much as from drinking. Concert venues tend to be loud.
MC notes that he started resenting them surprisingly quickly after leaving the ward, so I think the signs were there - obligation, and then alienation. My character doesn’t understand emotions and attachments much, so I think it really wasn’t about love or emotional availability - they simply did so to cheer their friend up a bit, and were already miles away during the process. There was new life. One that didn’t really include Zima.
I’d buy that, if the rich kid had it too.
Honestly I think I just messed up again.
Considered it but then I was faced with the question of what exactly constitutes genderneutrality in modern clothing
Firstly, thanks for helping and doing mod things. I have a cold and was sleeping so I didn’t like… see any of this go down. But now there’s all these hidden replies here and I wanna ask cautiously (at you or anyone who has the time/nerve to tell me) what went down in this thread?
