The fact that we can have sex with Leith but also start the poly romance with Idren/Ida all in the same chapter is amazing to me lol. Also how rapidly things went topsy turvy, dumpster fire bad that quickly, considering what’s going on with the Hunter like 200 years later.

But I have to say that it is only build-up, and hopefully they get the catharsis they desperately need (depending on what path they choose, ofc. I have a scorched-earth path planned where MC can go full villain. HEHE)

I’m so intrigued by this world. Creatures, the Hedge and immortality, this whole state of some kind of magical post-apocalypse, it’s all look very interesting.

There will definitely be more! I count Oma as part of ‘the squad’, if you will. She follows wherever MC goes, if at a distance. She does have her own arc planned, too. She has some fears to overcome.
To quote some questions answered on the Oma-tag on tumblr:
She definitely makes sure that MC has always eaten, leaves small trinkets for them, helps them with thing like they don’t notice (like closing a window when MC forgot or placing another log on the fire before it snuffs out even if she hates being indoors she will go out of her way etcetc) so yeah(cryingbritneyyeah.gif) grandma vibes :’)
There are not many people living alone like hunter MC, in a fine cabin that sits just by the river, smelling nicely and giving off warmth at night. Our MC has been there for 200 years, and I’d like to think that Oma’s curiosity got the best of her at some point, leading to her approaching MC. A small friendship would have grown from there, no?
As for right now, after all these years, I’d say that MC and Oma trust each other as a result of that slow-building trust and friendship, even if MC is the type to push people away; Oma is very non-intrusive but very curious, so she would make appearances constantly.
When asked if hunter can adopt her:
You can try? (I’d pay money to watch that)
While Oma is mute and amicable with our hunter, she is still a fearsome creature ruled by none. She’d much rather bundle you up, if she likes you, and treat you as baby. Just be prepared to be spoonfed with maggots because she finds them delish.

YES please, we’d both love that for her. (She collects trinkets and compulsively gives them to people she feels like needs them, so there’s that) (and she has a sweet tooth for human treats, so give away! Just watch out so she doesn’t get a stomach ache )

Ngl being besties with Oma sounds omazing. Glad she’ll tag along with the gang. But what happens if we gift her a trinket that we think suits her but she thinks that MC should have it? Will we have to fight over who gets to gift the trinket?

Ah, sorry for my late reply! And, doesn’t it? She’s definitely one of those ride or die friends that MC is secretly very grateful for :')
I think it would turn into a sort of inside joke between Oma and the hunter, where both of them would just start giving it to the other secretly. One day, hunter finds the trinket sitting on their desk, still dripping with water. Hunter would sigh, laugh a little, and then go outside and pretend to sneeze, tossing the trinket back into the water. Oma would grumble and swim after it. The next morning it would be beneath the hunters pillow. Etc etc
I might just have to write a short story for this haha. What a fun idea!!

Okay, It’s feedback time!
I’m really glad the project is still kicking. Love the update (and the horny jail btw). I think, the characters are so full of life now. Especially kudos to you for how MC’s emotional part is handled.
The setting is like fresh air and rain. Descriptions of the forest and city are so vibrant and lush. And food…
Also the gameplay is very neat and various. I like how we can choose between different backgrounds (my favorite is a horny criminal) and make stupid decisions.
And I was surprised that there are other routes to the capital.

I have been staring at this since you posted it, at a loss for words. Know that I’m staring at my screen not knowing how to reply I know I failed at the upkeep of a vibrant community like many other WIP’s, but hearing things like this is makes my heart soar and makes it all worth it, all the doubts and comparisons and those really, really loud insecurities kind of wither away! It means so much to me, that you would take the time to say what you like out loud. Thank you dearly
Love the horny criminal! That origin is privy to more information than the other origins (I have a top-secret tier-list) on what is actually going on, which will become clearer as the story goes. They used to have fingers in many pies, lol.
And I am so happy that the many different routes are appreciated! When I write I go off the branch-then-bottleneck type ordeal, and I rarely scrap any material that can be used in an alternate route, just to increase the ways your MC can go about existing in this world. There will be many more to come; right now I’m trying to configure a way to use everything I have already written into cohesive paths to the end of act 1. It’s a mess, but with more fiddling around I think it will allow for deeper roleplay!
I’m. MC/L certainly is that type of couple that people look at and go, wow, love can really be that easy, huh?

Thank you for saying this. I’m so guilty of taking this far too seriously, especially when it comes to my hobbies. I wish I could turn this into a full time job, but until money rains from the sky I’ll keep thinking about this story in every spare second of my day, working on it until my hands tremble, and hope that it brings you as much joy as it brings me.

I’m taking today, when rain is pattering insistently against my window though it is still far from spring, to write some stories meant for a new section in the stat-pages called ‘extra content’. I want there to be short stories to unlock as you progress in the main story, ones that bear weight but aren’t imperative to the main narrative, you know? Instead of charting a new WIP when I’m tired of my current plot, this is where I’ll be spending my time.
Here are the options listed, but if you have something else you would like to hear, please leave a comment! :>
- A regular day for MC in isolation, involving Oma in a major way
- A regular day for MC during a hunt (before the team died)
- A regular day for MC before the Release (when they were just [origin])
- The RO pov’s upon meeting the MC in the story (and play as them)

Meeting MC in the story as in right now, after the isolation, or for the first time? Also should we be able to roughly set the personality of the MC or make choices for them too? Do you think it would be better to have it be set from RO’s PoV but we choose what is being said by MC and RO responses are set sorta thing or is it better to just make it a controllable RO?
Also horny criminals are nice but what about stoic captains who are secretly horny? Also imagine one of hunters walking up on a captain MC who is always stoic and serious on public being flirty and horny with Leith. And that’s how people find out about MC/Leith being a thing and it becomes a local hunter meme afterwards.
EDIT: WE NEED A STORY FROM OMA’S POV

gonna be honest, I clicked Oma before reading the other options not thinking that alone would submit my vote, but now I kinda feel like i have to stick with her as part of the tiny bastion of non RO pov votes.
L’s funeral does sound like some delicious angst, however

I honestly would like to read everything as I find all of the alternatives interesting and I like the universe/world you have made. It would certainly be interesting to know how MC was before (before everything went… bad) and also after MC went into isolation with only Oma as a companion. I will enjoy it no matter which one it is.

“Are you going?” Idren asks you slowly, enunciating every syllable.
I wish there were a choice to this question like “I really don’t have a choice do I?” which would be a yes just without actually saying yes because right now the only way we can’t avoid a big flight is to say yes.
And for me, my MC really doesn’t want to go so he wouldn’t just be like yeah sure but he would understand he has no choice after Idren say they are coming to get him and they won’t stop til they have him.
So yeah I would like something that says yes I will go with you but I’m really not happy about it.
