OMG, so cute!!
And then I scrolled down to the dick comment and laughed out loud.

A new demo for Call Me Under just got released. I’ll play, of course (because of Blue), but I’m taking everything from Lunaris with a grain of salt after the fiasco of the ending of Errant Kingdom.
So, I played one path, the human, here are the thoughts that no one asked for:
Do we have some kind of Lovecraftian mystery going on? Most of the time I was lost as my MC, talking to a lot of people but not even sure why. I hope at least in this one we can solve the mysteries and not … whatever that Errant Kingdom ending was.
The romances of Lunaris always have this thing where some of their hot characters are OBVIOUSLY very much into each other and the player feels like a third wheel. In When the Night Comes are Finn and Erza and Omen and Alkar, in Errant Kingdom, are Erik and Maja and Lucien and Raiden. And now Blue and Adrien and Penny and Callie. It’s a little… tiresome, I guess?
The visual of the game, the backgrounds, and the music are amazing, at least. But, I don’t know. I won’t buy on Early Access (learned my lesson). Let’s see how it goes.
Oh, and the demo for Speakeasy will be released today too. I’m looking forward to this game. (edit: released)
I played and OMG, the characters are hot. But isn’t really a demo, we don’t have any choice. It’s more like a teaser - shows some parts of the routes - and there isn’t much of the plot, just some sweet stuff and some kinky stuff. I don’t mind the NSFW in this kind of game or the kinky stuff but the scene with Vincent was… too much? I really want to know more about the story before giving my opinion on this one. I hope we can have a playable demo before the launch of the game.
Finally, someone said it :") I agree 100%. I play otomes to romance characters, not to read about how those characters romance each other.
Lucky you! I already backed the game in Kickstarter. EK ending was rushed so much so that’s disappointing I hope that they learned the lesson in EK and they improved on CMU, fortunately this time I like the doctor this time around. Though I really like some moments with Raidan and my Ambassador. ^^;
I would probably not backed Lunaris Games future Kickstarter though and wait for their full release.
I haven’t yet played EK but can you explain what you did not like about the ending? I dont mind spoilers.
Only the poly options feel natural, but to romance a single character feels like we are ruining their relationship
Until the Ending Errant Kingdom was only of my favorite visual novels, and Raiden is my fave too. The moments with him (in my opinion specially in the Nomad route, we can spend more time with him) are amazing.
I liked the doctor too, but I liked Blue even more. But, five minutes into the new content of the game, here I am, watching Blue flirting with Adrien, and thinking to myself “again…?”
Sure! So, first, we can choose our race (we can be human or half-fae) and this isn’t relevant for anything. I don’t think this is even mentioned besides one conversation with Roux (they are a Fae RO). We have three routes to choose from, Ambassador, Knight, or Nomad, and even if until chapter five our role changes the story after that all goes the same for the three MCs. Yes, even an ambassador uses a sword in the end, because “The ambassador trained”. LOL
Our MC isn’t relevant for nothing, we are railroaded into doing things. Oh, this moment that really pissed me off was at the Ball, we are talking to one character and they ask for a strand of hair from Erik (one of the ROs) and one of the options to answer is “HELL NO” just to after that our MC says “well I need those answers so I’ll do it anyway”.
There are a group of cultists that appear in one of the early chapters that aren’t mentioned anymore. They just disappeared. The ending felt rushed, Lunaris made a lot of promises for this game, but the truth is that after chapter five, they didn’t seem to put even a little care into the game.
In the end, one of the ROs defeats the bad guy, because even for this our character is useless. Of course, my silver tongue ambassador was with A SWORD FFS.
Even the ending of romances felt abrupt and unsatisfactory. For those who were romancing Lucien, we got to wait for him to get bored of his trips and come back to us because he is an ancient demon and I don’t know how this is relevant, but they said that.
EDIT number 3: Anyone here played the Speakeasy demo? I really want to talk with someone about Vicent licking MC’s toes.
Not yet… but I love the art. I hope to get some leisure time soon to do so, though.
It was a tossed up between Blue and Archie when I first read the demo but knowing that the poly route between Blue and Adrien, that decide my reason to pursue Archie instead. They strongly remind me of Ezra and Finn. I felt bad going between them.
I haven’t tried the Nomad route yet with Raiden so I’ll check it soon.
Yes, this was a major problem for me in the one Lunaris game I played.
I don’t think I’ve seen this one suggested on here, but it if it has been, apologies for the repeat. It’s a demo, but it’s damned good. The MC can be female or male:
I played the demo of Speakeasy last night and I have to say…it’s shaping up to be a good one I have a weakness for guys covered in tattoos so Silas has my heart already
He seems like such a sweetheart so just take my money already! Vincent is certainly interesting as well oh boy fans self
@EvilChani
The character designs of this game are so pretty, in a way reminds me of the art of Variable Barricade (the male MC looks like Shion in one of the CGs). I will play the demo!
This one isn’t exactly an otome, but a mix of horror, puzzle, and dating sim. I think this game will be interesting.
Done deal, gonna eat it up
I finished BaxterWard DLC for OurLifeBeginningsAndAlways and it was so, so good!! It’s so bittersweet and words can’t describe how I felt. I look forward to OL2!!
I can’t wait to play that. Our Life is one of the few otome games that I played and tried to find some way to support the game makers right afterwards (outside of buying the game/dlc/etc). I adore that story.
Same! It’s so good! I’m neutral with childhood friends to lovers RO but Cove was such a sweetheart but Baxter caught my eye immediately when OL 1 was in kickstarter. I really enjoyed his story so much. I saw on tumblr that you can let Baxter confess instead of the MC confessing first so if you know how, it would be greatly appreciate any help.
If I find out, I’ll let you know. xD I mean, it’s probably going to be a bit before I can play it but that’s definitely something I’m gonna play around with.
I assume you’re talking about the confession in Step 4? This is my experience from the beta:
There are three different points where you can end up dating Baxter, but he will only confess first in the last one. The first dating point is right after the wedding is finished (while you are still in the wedding area). To get the next possible point, you will have to pick an option that goes like “I’ll tell him my feelings later” or try confessing but then getting cold feet. After you speak with him at his apartment, you can confess to him again once you wake up. To advance to the third point however, you have to pick something like “I hope he feels the same as I do” but not outright confessing, or try confessing but getting cold feet again. After Baxter takes you out to dance and you end up in his office, he will confess to you first!
Ah I see! I thought the point was after the wedding (right after). I didn’t know there were three points!! Thank you and I am trying it right now! But I still love that my MC confesses her feelings first. XD I love Baxter’s blushing face so much!
Thank you!!!
Edit: @AngelxK Got the scene! I should have been patient, but I was worried my MC would get friend zoned. lmao, It’s so cute!!! Thank you so much again!
Haha yeah, I also prefer that my MC confesses first, but not without giving him a piece of her mind first! Baxter is too precious though, so she can never stay mad at him for too long
And you’re welcome!!
Edit: @resuri08 Glad I could help! That whole DLC was just a giant rollercoaster of emotions haha.
