This game is amazing, and is what inspired me to write my own romcom story, albeit with a magical fantasy world twist. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wholesome slow burn love story.

Since I haven’t seen the game here since a while back, let me share the (demo) of an incoming otome game I’ve been 100% obsessing over. The game is Made Marion. I could make a summary but it will honestly be lacking, and the description on their itch page is just better anyway 
Also, their kickstarter will be starting soon, I believe.
Another game I am super looking forward to is The Azimuth Gap, this one has, sadly, just one romance option, a male android to be specific, but hey, you can customise MC! The game is a mostly science fiction one with elements of thriller and psychological horror. The writing of the demo is superb, and I am genuinely excited about this one. To add even more positives to this, the script of the game is actually 100% finished, edited and everything in between.
The author will also be launching a kickstarter in… two days I believe, which will basically go towards paying the artists, really.

She really liked this one. You pick your name/gender, but other than an occasional pronoun or title (Ms. vs. Mr for example) it doesn’t change the story. All the romance options are female:

I’ve been feeling more and more cynical about 7KPP ever coming out–the game was kickstarted back in 2015-- without any public update to the demo since 2017. I’d love to see it completed, and I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt we’ll see its full release.
I hadn’t heard of Ambition! I’ll have to check it out!

Oh yeah, I don’t think Azalyne set out to scam anyone (I used to interact with her on Tumblr back in 2015!)–I played the private demo that was completed up to the final week, so it’s strange to see her just not complete the game. But by now I’m sure the remaining money from the Kickstarter has been spent, most projects who slip this much from the release schedule don’t recover, and she hasn’t posted any update that gave proof of what state the game was in since March of 2019. And it’s even sadder with the shutdown of her forums, since the files are now that much rarer.

Sometimes I peek on to the tumblr page to see if there are any updates. The last update was during December so it makes me somewhat hopeful.
I followed the game from the beginning and it was always exciting to think about. Different backgrounds, character customization and a wide variety of characters to interact with that differed depending on your interaction choices.
The community was lovely and I also really liked Azalyne.

I’m glad that she posted that update, but it just rings hollow for me because we haven’t seen any evidence of any sort of actual work in nearly two years. I’ve seen a lot of scams–been scammed–by people saying repeatedly there’s work being done, and nothing ever being shown for it.
I’d love to be proven wrong, because 7KPP is one of my favorite gamese, even in its unfinished state. But I’ve just grown more skeptical of it ever being completed.

Last time it was mentioned was 2 years ago so I’ll bring it up. Oathbreaker. Rinmaru is working on Oathbreaker 2 and another game (forgot its name) that she hasn’t released yet. I really love her style and writing.
