Update Schedule - Ver. 0.23
- Greater Circle: Available Now
- Lesser Circle: Available October 4*
- Public Beta: Available October 25*
*Updates occur in Eastern time and may be delayed in case of emergency or sickness because I’m not going through that clusterfuck again when I updated with COVID.
The new update, Closed Beta Version 0.23 is now live for the Greater Circle tier on my Patreon. Chapter 2-3 is relatively straight forward compared to the previous Chapter 2-2 without as much inherent branching.
- Engage in a duel between some massive AOE multi-user spells. And by that I mean, it’s time to frolic through the forest in search of the ley lines. This can end pretty peaceably… or not so much… depending upon your previous actions.
- People who aren’t dead are still potentially calling and text messaging you. And maybe some undead ones too.
- Hang out in an abandoned industrial warehouse and try not to get tetanus! Merlin must’ve chosen this place for a reason, right?
- RO #4 has finally caught up to you… and you know what that means. It’s time for icebreaker party games!
- Fun & profit (it’s magic!) while trying to catch Merlin as a cheating cheater who cheats.
Look at all the data from running Randomtest 100,000+ times!
- Main Route: 84,000+ (with code) | 67,000+ (without code)
- Merlin’s Guide: 8000+ (with code) | 7000+ (without code)
- Text Messages: 15,000+ (with code) | 11,000+ (without code)

- New Grand Total: 1,227,000+ (w code) | 900,000+ (w/out code)

Thanks for all the stats + bug reports! All reported typos should now be fixed in Version 0.23
Yes, please talk and theorize amongst yourselves. Obviously I can’t comment, but what’s a mystery (or a pile of them) without a bunch of theories? Just spoiler tag anything you think you might’ve found through code diving.
Only the Serial Killer MC can get the achievement for flawlessly taking down the blob creature. People were discussing the details further up the thread.
Also confirming, there are no Camelot OCs. There are thousands of canonical Arthurian characters, no need to make up an OC (especially as there’s no conceivable way to guess the identity of an OC). Everyone’s past identities, good, bad, or in-between are in Merlin’s Guide.
Arthurian Level 3 MC knows better than that. This is folklore, so it’s fanfiction all the way down, and the early Lancelot stories are part of the Matter of Britain, which is as canonical as you can get.
I wouldn’t even say that Lancelot being Chrétien de Troyes’s creation is the most popular theory in historical circles because Ulrich von Zatzikhoven’s Lanzelet (German) is from the same time period and both Chrétien & Ulrich mention an older (now long-lost) Lancelot story. Not to mention the theories about Welsh Llenlleawc = Lancelot.
At most you’d get Lancelot being a Johnny Come Lately compared to some of the older characters (assuming he’s not actually Llenlleawc or such), but then the MC could just as likely be one of the other newer characters from Lancelot’s stories so…
Merlin’s too busy screaming about Frankish slander. Also, Klingsor the Penisless Necromancer is in the newest update to Merlin’s Guide.
That’s not the default Merlin reaction, so you had to trigger some variable/flag to be “blessed” with that. Also, just keep doing dumb sh!t that can get yourself & the others killed and you’ll tank Merlin’s relationship stat in no time.
As a single straight man, you can totally still have Adrian as a stalker! (Also Arthur says that female stalkers are highly overrated).
How dare you!
…
It’s 700 pages!
Don’t be possessed. Have your demon’s mark revealed to Merlin (some way or other) and then refuse to let them heal you until the some variation of “You can only heal me if I can punch you in the face!” comes up. Then accept their offer.
The code is obfuscated for a reason.
Lmao sorry I shouldnt have mentioned OCs i was thinking OC in regards to Welsh myths regarding Arthur and mordred not being his bastard but arthur having other bastard sons who while not part of the round table did become famous figures in their own right, this is what I meant by OC however no one here is a mind reader so my apologies.
Also english isnt my native language so sorry about spelling, grammer and other shit ive done wrong.
Listen the fact my mc gets merlin going from the get go is a them problem not my fault my fairy princess serial killer lustful Mordred is that damn sexy that he out competes merlin like the star he is.

Is it possible to make a Mute MC with high charm? Or is this a combination that is not recommended? I honestly wonder how this would work, but I like to imagine the MC just existing and everyone thinking he’s the pinnacle of charisma lol
I keep forgetting to post the previews when I reply here. Here’s one from the current update at Patreon.
Yeah, Arthur can have a ton of kids depending on the version of the lore… and some of them even made it into Merlin’s Guide (and the game proper itself) although Merlin claims that their parentage is only rumors/slander.
One of them is Melora (originally from Eachtra Mhelóra agus Orlando) who appears in the previous Camelot dream sequence.
You know, at this point I have no clue what triggers Merlin to start ogling the MC’s best feature (I think flirting is one of the potential triggers?), but I’m sure Merlin has a very good reason for doing that What do I know, I just wrote the game.
Arthur is sending Guinevak, Rowena, Elergia, Annowre, Camille, Guendolen etc etc etc to all of you.
Muteness (and also just generally being quiet) doesn’t affect charm at all. There’s other ways to be magnetic and communicate with people. Although it might compromise the “eloquence” talent at times.
