So I wanted to ask if anyone else has problems with the status menu/phone. When I access it just once it fucks up my whole save slot. The save suddenly is not where I did my save but in the phone menu and when I try to return it wont let me return to the game. All I can do is continue until I come to the endscreen and can play again. The phone is an important part of this game and I wanted to know if I am the only one with this bug. Didnt really read about it in this thread.

That hasn’t happened for me, but I haven’t played since a couple of weeks after the fencing update. I’ll give it a few runthroughs tonight and tomorrow and see if it happens for me.

This is so weird. It seems like I am the only one who has this problem. I want to enjoy the game to the fullest but the save file somehow bugs out completly. I used Chrome on PC and Android. Same problem for both.

I am not sure if this works all the time but I think I found a fix for my problem. If I access the phone I cant just return to the story and save there. Need to go to the next page first and then save the game. This seems to help. Dunno if I was the only one who saved on the same page after coming back from the menu. :smiley:

Oh…yeah, that’s what’s done it. Technically the phone is on the stats page, so saving there breaks things. If it’s not an issue with saving on the phone pages, which is tempting if you’re in the middle of Merlin’s lore dumps, then it might just be an actual bug. Is it a save that’s already there that is the problem, or a save that you make while you’re in the phone?

Just to future proof things, this is a problem with dashingdon across the board, so what you’ve learned here is applicable to very dash game/demo/WIP you’ll ever play.

Don’t. I swear this issue crops up a couple of times a month, at least. If anything, it’s the people who coded dash that did a poor job of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

The new update, Version 0.22 is now live for the Greater Circle tier on my Patreon. Chapter 2-2 now takes the crown as the longest section (21,488 lines long) from the previous Chapter 1-2 (beginning of the polo club route)

  • Have a completely normal time at a completely normal rest stop. (This splits into so many different routes & subbranches, go back & try a few different options… there’s even an actual “everything is normal!” route but what fun would that be?)
  • Get a bunch of messages from whoever survived Chapter 1 (including the demons). Set your new text message tone which will absolutely never have an impact & come up again.
  • Do a bunch of things on the RV that’ll totally not have any future consequences. I mean, your sleeping quarters during a real life game of Clue/Among Us surely won’t have any implications, right?
  • Continue to torture Adrian by acting as weird as humanly possible.
  • And much more!

Look at all the data I got while running Randomtest 100,000+ times!

Yes, the whole decision tree to set the two-faced/my true stats flag is entirely internal & doesn’t require speaking. It should happen at the end of Chapter 1 when you’re driving away from your apartment in the RV for most MCs, those who were kidnapped will be able to do it at the start of Chapter 2-2 instead.

The Nightmares are closer than the mules.

It’s not just you, I’ve been asked that so often on Tumblr that I added it to the FAQ (second from the bottom now). Also, @JBento is right that this applies to all Choicescript games using the smPlugin.js save system (so everything on Dashingdon & some other games hosted elsewhere like OKS).

It’s just the way that the Stats Menu works on Choicescript (which is also the cause of other ‘bugs’ like all changes in the stat menu getting reset if you go back in there without moving the game forward + the way to save scum the *rand variable),

I usually get in the habit of saving before I go into any game’s Stat Menu, so I haven’t had to personally deal with that bug in years now.
