Well, it was a bit of an extreme comparison I was going for there. But CoTV doesn’t really resemble Dracula. Nor does it revolve around religion like Anne Rice’s Pandora books.
I think CoTV isn’t really horror. That’s all. Please don’t ban me.
I agree it doesn’t much resemble Dracula. Nor do I think it remotely resembles Twilight, besides both having characters that drink blood.
The Anne Rice blockbusters we’re thinking about are Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, etc. … bestselling novels, hugely influential, made into films, but maybe before your time?
And not to spoil the fun, but you’re in zero danger of a ban. Nor would you be even if you started a new thread called “Seriously, is CoV a Twilight ripoff?” to spare P0RT3R more discussion on his thread.

same too me @Drazen but never thing in twilight well maybe when I read about vegetarian vampires but don’t banner me a vegetarian vampire concept seems so stupid
All of them sound interesting but the one I would like the most would be Stardust simply because it sounds modern with a post-apocalyptic feel to it. There aren’t enough games with a modern feel without all the superstition and zombies. No offense to anyone as I love zombie flicks but I always enjoy something new. And Twilight honestly is pretty overrated and kind of iffy. It was good in theory but ended up horrible. And I mean come on, how can a vampire with no blood circulation get a boner anyway? Tell me that!!!

@Drazen Haven’t gotten a chance to read/watch. Is the movie worth it? (I do not have the time to read a book). Personally CoV makes me think VtR/VtM.

Yeah, I got interview vibes from choice of the vampire too, I also saw what looked like world of darkness homages as well. West is pretty much a gangrel for example.
Interview all the way, New Orleans vampires? Most definately. Not a bad thing at all, by the way.
All right, I just read Interview With a Vampire. I think it resembles COTV quite a lot, but there is a different writing style, and there are a lot more crueler options that are offered to you in COTV.
