NPCs you wish you could romance, but can't

That reminds me; Mordin from Mass Effect. I cursed to the heavens when he was not an RO.

Miranda should’ve been bi. I had to play ms everytime just because I loved her so bad.

I would have loved to romance her, but not worth playing a guy…

@Alexodia yes Jennifer Hale was amazing, as she always is

You can romance Morinth, you wil just die after that.
And there is a romance scene with Samara in the Citadel DLC.

Samara isn’t an Ardat-Yakshi; she wouldn’t kill you. Being a justicar kind of dooms it anyway, but only Morinth would kill you.

And as @Urban says, the Citadel DLC gives you a little something if you really want to romance Samara.

First time I played ME back in 2007 (god has it really been almost a decade?) I saved Ashley, damsel in distress an all that. But since ME3 was release i only import saves where I saved Kaidan. After seeing how unpleasant she was I began to wonder if I couldn’t find another nuclear device for her to “guard”. Plus I waited for the Kaidan romance for so long.

Back somewhat on topic anyone else attracted to Matriarch Aethyta? No just me? I’ll guess I’ll see my self out.

I can see the appeal, but my canon FemShep’s true love is Liara; not sure I’d be entirely comfortable banging her mother. Even if you didn’t romance her, that’d be some awkward family dinners.

I also am a Taggart fan. And I don’t necessarily care if characters get more scenes as romance options per se, or are just pursuable as good friends…but I also would have loved to spend more time with Jon-Tarr of Metahuman Inc.

She is her father! You humans are all anthropocentric bag of dicks!

I can’t believe I fell into that trap. It seems my ME knowledge is as useless as tits on a hanar.

Yes. Hence not wanting to marry her. I’m capable of finding someone who could be the MC’s grandmother sweet in a nonromantic way :stuck_out_tongue:

I always saw him as more of a kindly uncle figure, but I can see the appeal, yes. (As I’ve said above, Gavin Chase is the one who has my heart.) I think we can consider this a sign that Heather Albano’s just really good at writing appealing characters

Only the first one. And the same planned gay romance (same character) comes back at the end. Along with another.

Though on the note of Dragon Age I disliked how everyone was bi in 2… actually no just Anders because of his portrayal of a lady’s man in awakening with no clue to ever liking guys until the sequel, everyone else was just a stylistic choice(everyone but Isabella) to me or already established (Isabella).
Though I’m being slightly hypocritical because I liked Merril in Da2 more than 1 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wasn’t that because her actor was uncomfortable with it? Or maybe it was Miranda…[quote=“Alexodia, post:91, topic:21737, full:true”]

YOU HUMANS ARE ALL RACIST!

Well, I played II before I played Awakening, so I always saw it more as him faking it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: (And maybe Justice helped him get over his fears.)

He’d have no reason to fake it though. No one cared about another’s sexuality in Thedas.

Even Tevinter as cousin (him and a human inquisitor) Dorian was a special case of his family line controlling their kids genetics and we have an example of a gay Tevinter relationship with the other DA2 male, Fenris with his slaver.

Every day sucks when you aren’t in a power fantasy. :sob:

Otherwise Caz would have been mine long ago.

Whenever I played DA2 and I played it a lot. I always got a gay vibe from Anders even when I was just trying to be platonic. I haven’t played as a female Hawk before though so take what I say with a pinch of salt.

While I understand that some of the discussion is relevant to this thread, can we please take the rest of the Dragon Age discussion to the Dragon Age thread, thanks. (I’d say same for Mass Effect off topicness but don’t think we have that thread.)

I’m surprised @Lithophene hasn’t dropped by to complain yet. :no_mouth: Must be too busy with the new ZE :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I will have you know I was going to post last night in that thread about how folks make their MCs about my MC from Empty Shell and his obsession infatuation with Jason. :stuck_out_tongue: But yesterday was a very crummy day. Maybe tonight.

In all seriousness, I actually don’t usually have too many complaints about NPCs I wasn’t able to romance. I think Jason is the only one on the CoG forums as of now, but… who knows if that’ll stand. :kissing_heart: Spectre was made bisexual by @Wraith (which garners them my undying love and devotion) so… yeah. Jason might be the singular name on my list when it comes to ChoiceScript games.

Now if you want to get me talking about romances outside of CS games, I will never shut up honestly. I could ramble endlessly about how mad I am that Cullen wasn’t romanceable by dudes in Dragon Age: Inquisition and a bunch of other games (especially when the audio files are in-game!), but I won’t.

I forgot about Jason! (That’s another one for my list, then.) Generally, though, I try not to count straight characters in games with good representation; Jason was special because of the whole kiss thing.
