In Hosted Games there’s more games with male only protagonists than there are with female only. (Not sure if there’s any with female only protagonist yet.) And they’re more likely to make you just straight. I’ve not played all the Hosted Games though

Huh, I think the only time I noticed that was with “Dead Already?” which I never played very far. I’ve really only looked at Hosted Games that I saw people raving about on the forum, though. I didn’t realize it was such a thing.

I think there have been a few where it felt like the main character was written assumed to be hetero, with a gender flip added sort of after the fact.

I think the only other gender lock I’ve read was Study in Steampunk, and I’ll admit that made me feel a little more reluctant to play it, despite the fact that I would’ve chosen to play as male anyway. I do want to try out Guinevere one of these days, though.

Plus I think Choice of the Petal Throne has got to be one of the only examples in the media that I’ve ever seen which includes the chance of an arranged same-sex marriage.

in other games though I always did kind of want to romance Tali in ME, she was so funny and cute I would have also given a shot to dating Jack in ME 2, maybe even Miranda.
