Hurray! Now we know. :yum:

Gonna take a wild guess and say you were invited to the wellspring Origin thread too?

That’s the one! … Not sure what the point is in the whole “invite” option. I mean… Going around inviting a bunch of random people to your thread kind of seems like spamming to me.

Bit yeah.
Hey @Blmc000 feedback for feedback?
Dunno if avery has a game in the making, but mine is here Curious Cuisine (Superhero/Cooking) (We're back. With ART)

That was an invite to my WIP. I’ve read your work, and a lot of your comments on other posts, and sought your opinion.

I invited you to the thread. I have seen many of your comments, and wanted your opinion. I don’t mean to be a pest! You make very good points in your comments

As said: feedback for feedback?
I can have a look once i got back into the right mind.

Just popping in to say I find it’s interesting to see how others have the website, I’m visually impared and it just says what the notification is for me :stuck_out_tongue: , honestly thought it was like that for everyone  .

Is the screenreader doesn’t read the symbol for you? Just curious, if you don’t mind.

No, it just says what it means, it does tell me smileys are graphics though, like just then it said graphic: grimacing when I press the down arrow. Though it is a bit weird when I go to the line the smiley is on and press the right arrow when I’m on the space before the smiley it says : grimacing : not sure if symbols work the same though tbh.

I appreciate that you’re interested in other people’s opinion but if you use the invite option just as a tool to invite multiple people you’ve never spoken to before to read your WIP… You understand how that can look like spam.

To be fair though, it’s not the invite I found strange so much as the fact that the option exists in the first place. I mean, if I want someone who’s actually relevant to the conversation to see a thread, I can just tag them with the @ symbol and explain why they might want to see it in the post. I’m not really sure what the invite option can be used for, besides just inviting multiple random people to join a thread.

It doesn’t bother me, since I’ve never actually received an invite before… But just imagine if every other user on the site used the invite tool to invite a whole bunch of other users to join their thread. Half the notification section would be nothing but invites, and that could get REALLY annoying. :yum:

Is it sad that I am now hoping/praying/wishing for a bunch of invites to threads just so I can feel important or special? I might actually have to start lurking less and writing more comments, some with actual comments on the wips I’m reading.

Awh! Well I think you’re special.

My apologies. I’m fairly new, wasn’t sure of the etiquette. Won’t happen again!

It’s fine :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:t4:
Just think of it as a real life. You won’t invite a random stranger… randomly. Try to send them PM instead.

But then, like RL, some of them will think of you as a weirdo.

I’d looove to send you one… but currently, I want the thread to stay in its slumber

No problem… I’m really not sure if there is “etiquette” when it comes to the invite option, since I only just found out it existed. :yum:

So you think I’m special too?
